I don't mean to sound rude at all, so I apologize if I do, but personally, I think there could have been more of a vote or even a contest for who the next official Qittaswell Sister could've been, rather than the maker of this character asking for her to be a member. Not to mention that Ariel was originally a human character who had nothing to do with T.U.F.F. Puppy beforehand, and even as a "temporary animal" for the troupe, she's another cat that looks like Kitty (I just feel that there are too many Kitty lookalikes out there).
Still, she goes well with them, and this animation makes her look great. Very good work on these.

Well I did want to keep her as a human, because that was one position she had before (the sole human to perform with the trope), but John wanted her to be a cat. I didn't really feel like starting a huge argument since it's his stories, so I made a compromise that Ariel is a cat as a performer and a human anytime else.

To para-phrase that, in the RPs that Shine and I did, she did portray Ariel as a cat, so I just went along with it. So, Ariel being a cat was kinda hesitant.
Maybe I could've made her a lioness just to make her seem more unique. But, oh well.

That makes sense. I suppose the reason John wanted her as a cat/animal was because some people feel that humans don't really fit in anthropomorphic worlds. That is an interesting concept, though.

Well, I never really hear much about Ariel when I had Shine join the troupe, but Shine insisted that I had her join. In most of the RPs I did with her, she would make one of the girls get injured so they can't perform, and made Ariel join along side Shine.
I had a feeling that she was trying to tell me something, so once Ivonne left, I felt that I had Ariel join mainly just to get her off my back about it.

There was however an interesting example of Anthro animals in the movie 'cats don't dance' where Animals live alongside humans. However, Animals were treated pretty much how minority races in earlier Amercia were treated. In many jobs, human employees were typically given more important roles than animal employees were.

John originally asked if anyone was interested in there being a new member, but that deal got closed with his friend, Shine, suggested for Knight's character, Arial, to get in. That, and I think John was aware that Knight wanted her character in the troupe anyway. I just think it would have been more fun to have a competition to see who could make for a new member. Something like the Qittaswell Sisters has been around for quite a while, after all, but it is John's choice.
