Description
This is some concept art I drew back in 2017 for a Johnny Thunder movie I never got around to making. I didn’t finish the script, but I had a basic outline done and I drew this art for future reference.

The top picture depicts a prologue where Johnny’s father, Daniel Thunder, and the original adventurers team (including Doctor Kilroy and Lord Sinister) discover the first map to the ruby of Re-Gou. Nearly everyone would be killed off by Sinister as he tried to take the map for himself. Daniel though would take the map back from him and disappear into the desert, never heard from again.

The middle picture shows Johnny Thunder attempting to recover the map from a Scottish castle where he has his first confrontation with Sinister. Since his father was never confirmed as dead but missing for 10 years, Johnny would be pursuing Re-Gou in part to find out the truth about what happened to his father.

The bottom image shows Johnny being chased by Sinister’s half-track through a vehicle graveyard. The film was meant to take place in the post-war period, so these vehicles would have been the remains of a battle like El Alamein from years earlier. In the outline, Johnny would have been rescued by Harry Cane and his fighter plane.

I never finished fleshing out the script since I felt like I didn’t know how to write out each scene I had outlined into actual dialogue. I keep telling myself I’ll make it someday, but at this point I’m not sure when I’d have the time or even if I could produce it at the level of quality I want to.
