I thought he was ugly too! It was his eyes. I thought they were so creepy. It was when he came back to the task force I saw him again and I was all "those eyes are freaking SEXY!" And just loved him ever since and when they explored his personality more I saw a little Double D in him (and keep in mind I was hald obsessed with the show at the time)

I think, also, dealing a lot with Matsuda, I started to appreciate Ide. xDD So I guess I started liking Ide more after I was enlightened to MatsuIde (I'm pretty sure because I stumbled on your comic around when there was 19ish pages?).

I think... it was like. I felt bad for him being ugly, so I eventually got attached to him because he was pretty ugly, so then I started to see that he could at least be cute through mannerisms, and well. xD Then he became one of my numerous favorite characters. Lolz.

But Obata didn't like Matsuda. ): Because.... Matsuda reminded him of his own inconsistencies. xDD
