Almost done WIP for my next entry for the OSI, it's Peach with her transformation item. Yes, it makes no sense for it to be both on her fuku and in her hand, but shhhhh. More explanation will be given later, after I've finished the entry properly! I need to do some more finishing touches on the colouring, somehow it never comes out quuuuite right!

One thing I love about Peach is that she looks and acts like a child. She's not some super-mature, well-endowed Naoko original. Everyone picks on Usagi and Minako for being childish and silly but, honestly, they're the only ones who act like their ages. If anything, Ami and all the rest are abnormally mature--probably because of their pasts. Peach is the same as Usagi and Minako. She's twelve, and she acts twelve. She also looks like a child, which is refreshing after Naoko gave ChibiChibi a bust. O.o

I tend to start thinking of the senshi as older when I read the manga, since they don't look or act like I know tweens to act. Maybe being a senshi forces one to mature faster? It makes me feel better to think that, or that they're really sixteen or older, so it's not as creepy that these barely-teenage girls are running around in basically nothing but bathing suits.
