I've been working on an artist study on Alphonse Mucha for a few months. I gave myself a break while drawing all the grain because it was driving me mad.So here is one of my favourite OC's Olive in a Mucha-esque image c:

I'm definitely late to the party, but this is stunning! I love her hair in particular, I have a strange urge to stroke it/swim in it, haha. Also, I think I would die trying to draw all that grain. :o

I like the background, clothes, and hair.
But for me--and this is just personal opinion--the style of her face and arm doesn't really work here. Art Nouveau, and Mucha in particular, tended toward particularly smooth, slightly rounded faces and arms. I'd love to see you try drawing her in that style to match your general theme here.

I really can't get over the flowers and leaves and how you handled the line there - it's so intricate and I love the way they frame the figure. I love the soft painting on the hair and I think you did a really nice job capturing a mucha-esque feel with the delicate lines and color choices *3* I love the really lightly suggested landscape at the top, too. This is such a neat piece!

Oh gosh.. seriously.. the grain took... HOURS. AND HOURS. LMAO And I complained to people as I lined it all lolol XD And with the background I was just trying to do a super super simple background, trying to emulate his watercolours a tiny bit. Keep the focus on the figure IDK XD but I love Mucha! and I want to do more art influenced by his work!! I think once I practice a few times it'll get easier for sure C:

This is just beautiful Days!! I've always admired Olive from afar on TE...she's one of my favorite OCs that you have and drawing her in Mucha-esque just added so much of a great touch to her. I really love seeing Mucha's artwork..seeing a picture like this with inspiration from it is just beautiful! I love the texture, the way it's painted and all the details. It really seems almost traditional..
