Yup, time for another Re-design and this one also includes a full backstory Rewrite as well.

Why? Well, for a few reasons but a major one is due to a not so great relationship that ate up a huge chunk of my life and did a massive amount of damage to my mental health. But this isn't a place for me to trauma dump and if anyone wants to know about it they can reach out to me privately.

But with that came my desire to be far more open about my own identity and also integrate that in my Sonas. Because what is my Trainer OC except a self insert for myself?

So, the following is the new profile and backstory rewrite for my Trainersona!

History:

An eccentric individual with a tragic past.

The first records of Elinor's existence was an Adopt Certification at the age of 5 years old under a different name in Celedon City to a small medium income family that lived there. It was noted that the parents of the family divorced soon after and that Elinor was quickly noted to show signs of mental and physical abuse under the mother of the family while the father left and never returned. During a school trip at the age of seven years old to Professor Oak's Lab in Pallet Town, Elinor created a fake Trainer ID while left unattended with the false name Ellie, stole their starter of a charmander they named Dragon, and fled the lab to try and make it as a trainer far away from their first adopted family.

It took over two weeks before anyone had noticed and during this time Elinor had managed to defeat both Brock and Misty and was quickly making their way to their third gym, adding only a small amount of pokemon that they dedicated most of their spare time training as quickly as they could. As their travel was a matter of survival, rather than a coming of age journey, Elinor would become extremely paranoid when around other humans and would avoid cities and towns unless required to in order to get the badges they needed to continue forward. By the time any authorities managed to locate Elinor, it was because they had finally beaten the gym challenge and gone to challenge the League itself. It was during the Champion Battle with Lance that the truth came out and when Elinor's mother became erratic and attacked Elinor for their fear and disobedience, Lance stepped in and used his authority to force Elinor's mother to sign over legal guardianship to him. By this time, Elinor had just turned 8 years old and afterwords Lance filed official complaints against Elinor's initial family considering the abuse and after a lengthy investigation the mother was arrested and her two other children put into foster care as the father could not be found.

After this, Lance took Elinor to Blackthorn City to recover at the hospital there and receive therapy. Though the relationship between Lance and Elinor was initially rocky due to Elinor's paranoia and distrust of others, they did form a strong Father-Child bond during this and the elders of the Dragon Clan welcomed Lance's adopted child. During Elinor's recover in the hospital, they also met three other children just a few years older than they were that quickly became like siblings to Elinor: The young trainers Kris, Ethan, nicknamed Gold, and Silver, as they recovered from an ordeal involving Team Rocket.

The four bonded deeply and even after Silver, Kris, and Gold married, they still refer to Elinor as their sibling and Elinor still refers to them as their older siblings.

Once Elinor turned 10, Lance helped them legally change their name to Elinor instead of their previous name, and helped them fully register as a Trainer with Dragon as their starter. While Elinor was allowed to act as Kanto Champion for a year after this after re-challenging Lance, they ultimately lost their title as Kanto Champion to Red after he retook the title following the suggestion by Blue. While Elinor initially had a severe reaction to this and one of her pokemon, the newly hatched Eevee Vanilla, was trained as a Service Pokemon and evolved into an Espeon, to help with Elinor's skewered mental state, Red and Lance managed to talk Elinor into seeing this as a good thing for Elinor to travel and find a new course in life as they no longer needed to fight for survival.

Gold, Kris, and Silver offered to travel with Elinor for a time to help with this as well, as Red had initially wanted to join as well but had new duties to attend to as Kanto Champion. With their siblingss in tow, Elinor began their journey and started in Hoenn where the four struck up a friendship with the new trainer May who became like a sister to the entire group and bonded with Elinor greatly. While in Hoenn, the four helped deal with Team Magma and May caught Latias and while Elinor managed to catch Latios to protect them from Team Aqua and Magma. Elinor did leave the region soon after but promised to watch May's Champion match and the two stayed close friends even in adulthood.

After this Elinor, Kris, Silver, and Gold traveled through Sinnoh, meeting and befriending Rowan's grandchildren Dawn and Lucas, alongside the new trainer Barry. They helped where they could in dealing with Giratina and Team Plasma, with Elinor helping dethrone Cyrus, and while the group managed to convince Elinor to take on the Sinnoh League, Elinor was unable to actually beat Cynthia and took the loss hard. It was during this time that Professor Elm put them in touch with Naranja Academy and Director Clavell, with the Director offering Elinor enrollment at the school for a year. Silver and Gold urged Elinor to go despite Elinor's reluctance to seperate from them, in the hopes that such an academy and being around peers might help Elinor find a new goal in life. After a bit, Elinor agreed and met Nemona, Arven, Penny, and took the strange pokemon Koraidon in their care.

During the school year, Elinor participated in the Treasure Hunt, helping their new friends Penny and Arven with their goals and supporting them as much as Elinor could while slowly becoming rivals with and seeing the fun in battling with Nemona. During this, Elinor also took part in a school trip to Kitikami, becoming friends with Carmine and Keiran and learning the secrets of the Oger resulting in Elinor catching Ogerpon and the 'Loyal Three' to help. While at the time Elinor was unaware of Keiran's growing frustration with Elinor, Elinor themselves saw a kindred spirit in Keiran and became very atatched to him with Gold even joking Elinor might have a crush.

As the Treasure Hunt started to come to a close for the year, Elinor banded together with Nemona, Penny, and Arven to go into Area Zero, learning the truth of the Paradox Pokemon and Professer Sada. While this helped Elinor and Arven get closer than ever, it did leave a mark on Elinor and force them to really thing about their own goals after as they were offered to study for a short while at Blueberry Academy as an exchange student. While there, Elinor was devestated by Keiran's change and worked alongside Carmine and Drayton to try and help in any way they could. After beating Keiran for the Bllueberry Championship, Elinor ended up punching Drayton for his behavior and tried rejecting the title but was forced to keep it until they were approached by Briar to look into the hidden treasure of Area Zero alongside Carmine and Keiran. While in the depths of Area Zero, Keiran and Elinor were finally able to clear the air and misunderstandings and become friends again after Terapagos went berserk and Keiran and Elinor had to team up and defeat it with Elinor finally catching the mythical pokemon.

Afterwords, Keiran invited Elinor and their friends back to Kitikami, where Keiran and Elinor had to team up again to take down and catch the mischeivous Pecharunt.

Following all these events, Elinor finally settled on what they wanted to do with their life and approached the League about becoming a Surveyer and Enforcer, a Champion Ranked trainer in the whole of the Pokemon League that traveled specifically to help in disaster cases around the regions and also helped survey the league facilities and ensure everything is working as intended. While certification took longer than Elinor initially expected, Elinor was able to become a certified Surveyer and Enforcer at the age of 18 to the joy of their friends and family.

During one of Elinor's first jobs in Galar, they discovered the very young Victor who was in an abusive home much like Elinor was as a child. Using their new title and authority, Elinor strong armed the family to give them custody instead of taking them to the authorities and due to Elinor's help with an issue, they were even given help from Chairman Rose to expedite the process. While becoming the parent of a 5 year old was not ideal for Elinor at age 18, especially with their work requiring them to travel so frequently, Elinor had a vast support network that helped them out regularly and Elinor always made time for Victor as they grew up until Victor was ready to take on the Pokemon League in Galar with Elinor's endorsement.

During Victor's time taking on the Galarian League, Elinor also traveled to the Crown Tundra to deal with reports of regional variant pokemon running amok in the area. During this time, Elinor met and traveled some with Calyrex, learning of his past and helping him reconcile with his horses Spectrier and Glastrier. The two spoke frequently of the past and when Calyrex finally challenged Elinor and agreed to become one of Elinor's pokemon, the two made a deal to let go of their past and the sorrow it brought to look towards the future.

Afterwords, Elinor joined the crowds to watch Victor's Champion battle, and offered what support they could when Chairman Rose accidentally unleashed Eternatus. With that all said and done, Elinor watched Victor's true Champion Match with Leon and when Victor expressed a desire to follow a different career path afterwords instead of becoming the Top Champion of Galar, Elinor fully supported him.

* No one actually knows who Elinor's birth family is or where Elinor comes from. By the current time, Elinor refuses to speak about it to anyone but has told the truth to Kieran and Arven: Elinor was not original from their dimension and was instead sent to this world by unknown means. While this in theory makes them a Faller or similar case, Elinor has expressed no desire to find out and actively prevents any attempts to investigate things furthur.

* Every Scar on their body has a meaning. The Chemical Burns, Back stars, and eye scar are from the abuse from their original adopted family with their mother attempting to gouge out their eye infront of Lance when Elinor tried to get away from her. It took months for many of the injuries to heal and Elinor still has some physical issues due to them even with physical therapy and adaptive equipment to help.

* Their hip scars came during the Terapagos fight, when Elinor got into the way of an attack to save Kieran. The injuries came when they were slammed into some tera crystals that nearly shattered Elinor's hip but did break some of the bones in their leg, two ribs, and fractured their elbow. While Elinor was able to finish the battle and power through getting out of Area Zero, they never fully recovered and in cold weather require a cane. On the worst days they need a wheelchair.

* The most common gender pin they tend to use is the He/Him pin
