Aries is a very mature for a pony at his age . He is also very serious and sometimes push his own limit about being a prince . When he was young , he always wants to become the best prince in the world . From a little colt dream , he built himself on it . He spend most of his time in Canterlot or the Twilight's castle to study and research about nation stuff . He loves following Celestia around when he was little much like a baby duck , because she has no time to play with him , she bring him to her working room with no problem since Aries was naturally quiet and good . He actually get his dream from one of the story Celestia told him , that's the source of him being so serious and princy . Outside of works , Aries would definitely spend time with his friends . He would be very different from all the royal work when he is with any of his friends or anyone he feel comfortable to be with .

Relationships

Aries mostly spend time with his mother to help her and study about the royal business . Because he's more into this , he doesn't actually meet his dad much since he stay at Ponyville while Flash usually at Canterlot or the Crystal Empire for training and on his duty as a captain of the royal guards . He wasn't used to not having his dad around when he was younger , they were very close by all the father-son activities since Twilight is very busy so it was pretty tough but he's fine with it now . Still , both still find time to hang out

Aries is especially close to Myth for cousins . Myth would be the type of frankster that will jump out of nowhere and scare Aries to death . Amazingly Aries said that he has no problem about that which push Myth to do more and more frank . Around him , Aries always put up his coldness as a "Quiet , I'm busy" but Myth always finds a way to break that

He loves Sylvena a lot , she's like his own big sister . They spend their entire foalhood (/colthood?) together , he happily admit that she's his big sister to anypony that asked back then . Sylvena was the first to show him how to act royal since she looks up to her mother alot , he grow to have the habit of wearing necklace around from her . When they are older , Aries is much more serious than Sylvena in every case , she could be silly sometimes but that's what Aries found most lovable of her

Lithium is the type of pony that Aries look up to . He respect her a lot more than both Myth and Sylvena since everytime he's around her would be on royal duty or important missions . Lithium seems to handle him getting mad and nervous very easy as he claims "Because she doesn't care about personal feeling" . Aries wish he could be as calm as her sometimes because no matter how hard he tries he would loose it under pressure .

Aries is very discipline but he would also got into trouble hanging out with Lighting . He got Aries in all sort of 'fun' he could ever think of . Lightning is like that one friend totally different from you but still very awesome to hang with because reasons? If not interested in getting into trouble on any day , Aries would just refuse and sit at home but he still admit they are fun (but mostly stupid) . Lightning is actually very curious about magic and kinds of spell effects so he would occasionally ask Aries to put some cool spell on him but got reject all the times

Aries likes hearing Jadeite talking about the elites , he makes it sounds so complicatedly wonderful . Jade is much like Aries's informant and reverse . Their relationship is pretty much through all the fancy party and business so they aren't very close as friends

Chocony is the one usually drag Aries right out of his study room for all sort of hang out and stuffs . Chocony is absolutely stubborn but she's very scared of Aries being angry and would leave him be cause she knows it's him being very worry or nervous about something

Livens is one of the pony that Aries feel comfortable to be around with . He thinks she's patient and a very good listener , that's what he likes about her . Despite being a pegasus and a unicorn , they actually share same interest in studying . Livens usually ask him about flying but only in theories and she helps him with the experiments since she's a role model of a fine pegasus . Aries actually don't know about Livens's crush for him even when there were a lot of hints from herself . He said that family and friendship is the only two love he needs and this back her away from ever telling him how she feels

Gold is that one nice pony that Aries can be totally honest with . Everytime he needs to get something off his chest he would come to Gold but that's very rare since Aries doesn't very honest with himself so it's Gold that notice all the weird acts then ask him about it and doesn't stop still he hets the information he needs

Aries finds Alex's way of dealing with things very funny . She is the drama queen in the group but sometimes due to the trouble she's in , it's understandable . He actually see himself somewhere in those actions but just hide it and help her with those nerve problem

Aries occasionally come to Nadelion for plants studying . She got everything he needs and he's actually amazed with her garden . One of the thing that help Aries calms down is flower scent and there's always a small flower pot on his study table and Nali is the one behind that . On certain times , Aries has a pot of alstroemeria instead and it's his favorite flower
