August's Original Exchange design! This one is for basilbub .
Sorry for being so late with this! To be very honest with you, when I first read the prompt I had no idea what to do with it, so I put it off until I had a concrete idea. I decided to go with some sort of reptile based alien, complete with scales, four arms, and a tail. I hope you don't mind the more beastly facial features, I know you didn't want a full on anthro face so I avoided doing that while still giving some more reptile-based facial features!
She's wearing a dark blue power/body suit that has the ability to shoot blasts from the lower two hands. Her upper hands' palms are kept clear to hold stuff with. The colour and her pose made me think that she operates underwater somewhere, maybe she scouts underwater bases? It's all up to you!
She started off as male but halfway through drawing the final lineart she suddenly appeared female in my eyes, so I don't know what she is supposed to be anymore. If you'd like to make her male, go ahead, the design is gender neutral in appearance as it currently is!
There we go! I hope you like this lady. As always, you can change whatever you wish about this design and if you'd like me to make a small edit to the artwork, I can try that. Don't sell, trade is allowed, yada yada you get the gist

This is confusing my mind and I can't concentrate looking at it enough to have a good view.

In what way, with her four arms? I had such a hard time differentiating them with the dark colours, I even had to add shading to the right lower arm to make it stand out just a little more. It's sorta confusing :'D

Mostly the arms are confusing. I have seen creatures with 4 arms before (Machamp and others) but this is the first time I get this tricked feeling xD

I'm not 100% sure I'll use it - the elongated fingers and toes might prove really difficult to draw repeatedly, and I'd really want to give her some markings or something - you had no way of knowing either of those though obviously!!

And don't worry about the prompt! It was very clear, one of the clearest longer prompts I'd gotten in a design exchange! The difficulty for me came from how used I am to drawing more fantasy based medieval designs. I'm completely lost in scifi and I had no leads of where to go until I remembered I could just google a few references and inspiration, which made it much easier! So there's nothing wrong with the prompt, very well written ;v;

Only if its not annoying, and if you dont get around to it, i can still just use the ref and inform people who draw her that the fingers are shorter if I dont get around to drawing her myself before that happens!

And don't worry, I actually am happy that I get prompts that aren't just within my comfort zone! So far I've had to design characters with themes I've never done and colours I've never worked with before and it's always such a learning experience. The design was a lot of fun to draw and I'm fairly satisfied with it myself ^^
