Description Made up this system for myself with ideas inspired by some other players! If you have suggestions or something you'd like me to add, just let me know!

Aging
  • Idea from MistyofSunrise & slanciato
  • All adult horses start with the automatic age of 5 years (Unless bought and horse has already been aged)
  • All foals start with the automatic age of 1 year
  • All adult horses bought UNTRAINED have the option of starting at 3 years
  • Horses age every picture = 2 months
    • Vet checks, inspection images, doodles, sketches, etc. are all exempt from this
    • Vet checks, inspection images, are allowed to be counted if owner sees it fit
    • Image must be clear, colored, with optional shading and background. Headshots are allowed.
    • Artwork done by others does count if it meets the criteria
  • Foals age every picture = 4 months (until they reach 5 years)
    • Vet checks, inspection images, doodles, sketches, etc. are all exempt from this
    • Image must be clear, colored, with optional shading and background. Headshots are allowed.
    • Artwork done by others does count if it meets the criteria
  • Horses age every piece of literature (min 500 words) = 2 months
  • Foals age every piece of literature (min 500 words) = 4 months
  • Every 4 months all horses in the barn age by 1 year to even everything out
    • This is done so horses who aren't as active still age properly
    • If horses are twins/bought at the same age than they are exempt and aged together
  • Once a horse reaches 18 years they are retired from large-scale competitions
  • Once a horse reaches 21 they are retired from any competition
  • Once a horse reaches 26 they are no longer allowed to be ridden (varies on horse-to-horse)

  • Examples:
    • Horse A was a design that was bought, auto 5 years.
      • He has 10 training images which equals 20 months
      • Now Horse A is 6 years and 10 months old
      • 4 months pass and he hasn't been drawn but he now ages to 7 years and 10 months
    • Horse B was a design that is the twin of Horse A, they are the same age
      • He has 5 images which equals 10 months
      • He has 3 - 500 word stories which equals 6 months
      • Now Horse B is 6 years 4 months
      • 4 months pass & it's time to age but he needs to be the same age of his twin so 6 "months" are added to his age.
    • Horse C was a character created by myself and autoed to 10 years since he is a professional show horse
      • He has 4 drawings which is 8 months
      • He has 2 - 500 word stories which equals 4 months
      • He is now 11 years
    • Foal A was born recently
      • Foal A has 5 pictures which is 20 months
      • Which makes him 2 years 6 months
      • Than I wrote 4 - 500 word stories which is 16 months
      • He is now 4 years old and ready to begin his career!
      • And since this was over the course of 4 months, he is now 5!

Injury - WIP

  • Every time a horse goes to a show pull up random.org and put in 1/100, get a number
    • If your number is higher than 50 your "safe", roll for faults
    • If your number is less than 50 you are "not safe", roll for injury
  • No matter if you place 1st or 8th you need to roll for faults. These don't count against the scoring and can be used for stories afterwards or anything really, or if you would like to you can not roll for them.
    • Put in 1/50 and roll
    • if you get a 1 - 10 you have refused a jump, performed a move "off", or did something that might count against you
    • if you get an 11 - 30 you have a clean round with little to no faults
    • if you get a 31 - 40 you have knocked down a rail, chipped a fence, or made some minor mistake
    • if you get a 41 - 50 your horse spooked at something but you went back to riding, the judge didn't count this against you
  • Rolling for injury: (this is Greatalmightyqueen 's system, not mine. I take no claim to it, just writing it here with my other info so it's all in one place)
    • Put in 1/100 and roll
    • if you get a 1 - 3 your horse suffers a fatal injury
    • if you get a 4 - 10 your horse suffers a life-threatening, but non fatal injury
    • if you get a 11 - 25 your horse suffers a minor injury or illness
    • if you get a 26 - 100 your horse is safe
    • Injury is also rolled per-life though if an injury is wanted from a competition it can be done for that too.
  • Examples:
    • Rider A & Horse A go to a "show"
      • They roll a 65
      • We then roll for faults and we get a 48, I write in my story how Horse A spooked at a flower box, but kept going
    • Rider B & Horse B got to a "show"
      • They roll a 39
      • We then roll for injury and we get a 14, I write in my story how Horse B suffered a strain on his tendons, but makes a quick recovery
    • Rider C & Horse C go to a "show"
      • They roll a 9
      • When then roll for injury and we get a 6, I set an arc on how Horse C gets a massive tear in a tendon that puts him off work for several months

YAY! THANK YOU!

/now to go through all my horses and count up their images

I want to write up stuff for more things but I can't think of much? Greatalmightyqueen already covered a lot of stuff in her RNG tutorial? Hrmmm... c:

May I model a system with this as some of the base? c: (it won't be exactly the same, I'd just use a few things from this as a base)
