Awww they look so cute, even if they do have a bit of a mischievous streak. I never thought of long haired unicorns before, did you read about them somewhere, or make them up on your own?

By hand entirely. 
Oh wait, I lied... I tried a glowy-effect in white pencil by the near snowy's horn that turned out horrible, so I photoshopped it out for this version.
