Description
A love struck princess is kept captive from the man she loves, the hills and valleys separate their forbidden love. Her father the king has banished him to the ends of the earth because he did not meet to the criteria of his beautiful daughter. Each day she stands on the edge of the cliff looking into the distance, the creatures that live in the forest feel her despair. If she listens oh so carefully, she can hear the distant beat of a heart. At the risk of sounding like I'm going overboard in effusiveness, ellfi, whoever you are, you have an absolutely amazing eye for detail. Your skill with pen(cil) and paper is something I'm aspiring to accomplish in my own work, but I doubt I'll ever achieve this high level of mastery
I'll continue to draw, but in the meantime, I'll come here and enjoy your admirable, incredible work

One thing I really like about all your other works is the Black and white. But I am also impressed with the choice that colored pieces use very soft tones. It really adds the effect of is a dream or real.

With color, once you add it your comitted. With black and white you can have unlimited variations and options. Most every thing I do, I have a black and white prototype for.

I love how seamlessly the celticesque border blends with the rest of the picture. Is there a reason the trees are scaly?

Well one reason is I love the bark that grows on trees and I saw some that reminded me of dragon scales....and it occured to me that with dragons around the trees might need to protect themselves from firey blasts, so thats why the trees are scaly

LOL! I know the feeling. I am working on SPAWN ARSENAL in the rain and strong winds right now. It has been going on for near a year and now I have this horrid thought peeking out about redoing it in transparent Lexan. The bearing plates that support the entire sculpture on its axle are made of this material as a test. I was hoping for a time there it would fail so my mind would be freed of this obsession. Alas, they are holding up well.

No, not at all insulting. I think of them as a little less charming and more Rube Golberg... but, fun on warmer days. Really isn't all that cold, but was very close to 95 degrees yesterday and today it is struggling in the low to mid forties with drizzle and wind. My old bones don't rattle around well at those lower temps. I am using the wifi on ARSENAL right now and it does seem to like cooler temps well enough.
