This isn't a Snowy Owl, though, but a Barn Owl(Tyto alba), one of the most common owls world-wide, and VERY common where I live. They are still beautiful birds, and can be very funny with their odd "dancing" to orient their ears towards sounds, but they do make some of the creepiest noises of ANY animal, bar none. Search for sound bites of their noises on YouTube to see what I mean.
