This is brilliant. The levels of manipulation those girls used truly ruined and cost people their lives and good names.

I freaking love this.

(I'm in this play at the moment, as Abigail, and this picture pretty much exactly sums up what she and the other girls are doing to the town)

You should have won first place! Can I use your poster to illustrate a story? Will you send me your name, when you made the poster, and a little detail on how you made it. I want to make sure that you get full credit.

Hoping to hear back from you as soon as possible, but not sure how often you check this.

Just read this play in English. I could totally imagine this being a poster for an actual showing of the play. I would see it.

Ooooh, this is very nice. The image is immediately intriguing even if you don't know the story, and, for those who do (such as myself), the symbolism is powerful and memorable. I don't know what the first-place design looked like, but this was certainly deserving of its high place in the contest.

Kyo-Starr [2011-05-09 20:17:52 +0000 UTC]

Wonderful symbolism ("hand of God" as puppet master?), striking image, and I love how you made some of the edges look a little like a woodcut!

This is really good. This is the kind of poster I would want if I could convince my Drama sponsor to do this play. Wait who is that again? Right. Never mind. Perhaps you could design one equally as appealing with Bunnies and a happy little couple getting into "Funny" antics.

Anyway it looks fantastic. One of my favorite plays *favs*

I am doing an AP project and i chose as my project to make a soundtrack for the Crucible and wanted to use this as my cd cover. Would that be okay? Its not for sale or anything i promise just a project

Wow, I really love this! It gives the idea of Miller's concepts well! Only, it kind of gives away the ending...Throughout reading the play, I refused to stop hoping they'd live...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ellusive In reply to Ashiato [2008-02-05 21:59:10 +0000 UTC]

Oh it does give away the ending in someways, but the casual viewer hopefully won't understand that right off the bat. That way it still remains abstract, sorta, kinda, maybe?

Ashiato In reply to Ellusive [2008-02-06 03:25:44 +0000 UTC]

After seeing the poster (if I hadn't read the play), I'd probably still remain hopeful that no one would die! XD

I'm guessing that's Abby's hand?
