This series is just stunning Gene !! Your touch is palpable, your brush the sky with fluttering effects with your fairy mix of ashes, rain and snow !! You stage us an impactful scene, where you stop the time to mark this instant full of emotion, you paint what the character feels, and make the street the corridor of her thoughts, and that is striking indeed !!! You inject some drama echoes, but the colour palette is soft with blue pastel and a delicate mix of purple/pink, peach and grey. You play with the colours to give movement, it structures well your work, as a trong base, like a puzzle I would add, it reveals in a clever way the half moon. The reflection of herself in the mirror puddle is full of meaning, and at once, answers a smart technique. The blur all around her, make our glance focusing on her, even if she is from the back and is clothed with one colour, like fading and melting with the shadows of the buildings, her figure has a strong presence and it is emphasised by the light, all in icy effects. Your conceptual work is breathtaking Gene, all your details are worth it, and your atmosphere is more than powerful !
