Magestic piece Gene ! Amazing effects, skills and topic Gene !!! Fantastic and amazing work, with incredible depth and a brilliant composition, even I would add, perfect !! The palet of colors is so well chosen too, with cleverness !! In fact, the aquatic chromatic theme is so delicate, a soft mix of green and blue tons, that pushes us to feel the cold and the wet atmosphere of the cave, as if we felt it. Why I say your composition is perfect ? I will try to explain all that I discover, and I really hope not to miss mentioning nothing, because my ideas just flood my brain right now, because it is such a powerful mix of adjustments, that enables a smart reading of your piece, but also helps to hightlight some accurate parts, and you balance all in a skilled way Gene !! Your well calculated composition is divided into three equal parts : the first one third stage the mother, the second, spots the cascade, while the last one third directs us to the baby, framing it like protecting it from an eventual fall. What strikes my eyes straight away, is that the subltle fall under the mother dragon, creates a refined vertical line in the middle of your canvas, full of meaning, because it points the key elements of the artwork, and links the mother to her baby and his broken egg. The huge span of the wings of the higher creature, brings also movement, but this time, through a beautiful curve, and invites our eyes to follow the sliding turns that participate to draw the generous shapes of this breathtaking place, that is a masterpiece in itself, with its “perfect“ irregularities. What's more, all these circular lines, are united in a powerful artistic shape that could be the cypher eight, or more conceptual, with the Infinte ∞ symbol, with a huge upper buckle that encircles the mother, and a smaller one that shelters the baby. The light source that rushes throught the cave entry is spectacular, and plays a major role in this piece, enhancing the baby whereas he is small in size, you succeed in making him the focus point of the canvas. You inform us it's your statue photo and woow you did great in making him so alive, so cute, candid and lovely, congrats Gene !! You paint so well the light that you give birth to emotions, even the rock seems to have a soul with these amazing contrasts that show marvellous textures !! I adore the pearly effects that caresses the wings, even the water wears awesome effects !! You end to play with subtle and light touches of mist that harmonizes all this impactful atmosphere !! Truly a masterpiece again !! You are a genius Gene !!

This!!!! is soooooo sweeet I absolutely love it my grandson. The little baby dragon is just so adorable looking straight up at his mommy who is so patiently calling out to him to go play in the sky with her. What a wonderful dreamy scene you share with us all today my "little dream weaver" I see the egg it just came out of and already the mom wants to teach her baby. He has a big jump up to reach her but he will go any second now because he is very determined to reach her. I love the cave as well and the water way at the bottom. You already know how much I love dragons and of course I could not help but fall in love with the whole concept as well. Really superb work as always.
