Description
This is Jet Li (Li Lian Jie) in Lethal Weapon 4. Though i think he has made much more interesting movies in Hong Kong, i think his character in this movie is absolutely fascinating. I drew this picture from my TV... which was not very simple!This is mostly made with charcoal pencils (from 2H to 6B)

You've got lots of amazing stuff in your gallery, but I'll comment on this one because I particularly like your subject. You have a great deal of talent, well done. He looks almost life-like. I'm particularly impressed by the fact that you referenced this from your TV. I've tried that before and it didn't work out so well.
I hope to get into different pencil grades and charcoals soon so I can start practicing for an effect as realistic as yours. Keep up the excellent work. I agree with you fully on his non-American movies by the way--ten times better.

Thanks a lot for your nice comment! Yeah, drawing from TV is not easy, it's a lot worse than drawing from the computer screen!
As for Jet, he is hopefully coming back to the kind of movies he was making before. Since i'm a journalist, I could manage to have an interview with him last january (he was here for the promo of Danny The Dog) and I was relieved to see that he was totally aware that some of his American movies were not good, and to heat that he has a Chinese project coming soon!

haha, si j'ai fait arrêt sur image sur ma TV, et ensuite j'ai tenté de retrouver l'image sur internet, mais elle était de mauvaise qualité (comme mon écran de l'époque, d'ailleurs), donc je devais revenir à l'arrêt sur image régulièrement...
Ouais, je sais pour son oreille, on m'a déjà dit

you should draw him in "Hero". He's look pretty in that movie...hehe...this is nice, his ear look kind of awkward though...
