Such a cool effect ... have you compared this with the BG-40 or BG-39? Considering the lack of greens in this scene, do you think it would be similar to unfiltered/full spectrum?

I don't own a bg40 / bg39, but the effect is similar to smardy blue filters and NKIR blue filters. Fullspectrum would give a light pink colour but with very uneven effect. If you aim to achieve pink foliage I recommend using a greenfilter for example the smardy - green.

here you can see a comparison of the tiffen and fullspectrum:

somewhere here is a comparison of the smardy filters:

I just realized that I said BG-39 when I meant UG-11! I got them confused since i use them stacked for UV photos.

Got the 77mm Tiffen 47 I ordered, and tried out some test shots. Unfortunately the winters around Montreal tend to be very cloudy, so I'm not getting the blue sky effect. Trying to arrange some photoshoots at the moment as I think there is some potential in the filter for portraiture ...

Fantastic comparison, thank you. I've ordered myself a 77mm Tiffen 47! I already have a green filter that I'm trying to put to good use.

I previously did a similar series of tests to the series you posted:
www.ultravioletphotography.com…

In that series I used virgin Teflon to white-balance, although there might be more artistic potential for each filter by playing with the white balance a bit.
