In folkore, A Succubus (plural succubi) is a demon who takes the form of a highly attractive woman to seduce men (although the attractive part is a modern invention, historically succubi are ugly), in dreams to have sexual intercourse, according to the medieval European legend. "Original" myth-woman, cursed or demonic alike were always described as ugly. Hell even witches. >_<
But at the same time, all those women were famous for their deadly nature and known for killing/eating/raping men like others breath air.

As if 'highly ugly' women could ever catch man like that! Maybe with force and suprise, but it just wouldnt work out well.
The most of them are skilled in magic and stuff as well, so why not push your outer appearance up?
