I'm rereading the manga from the begining. Maaa... I did read first volumes so long ago, I forgot almost everything ^_^'
I was totally fascinated by the first meeting of Rin and Kagehisa after the murder of girl's parents.
Kagehisa had been exercising , when Rin attacked him with her flying knives. She failed, was captured and hanged onto a column. Despite being afraid, Rin started to question Kagehisa a lot. To show the girl his "way of the sword" and explain why he carries a heavy sekira, the man started to fence with the stuff. Have a peek at the scene drawn by the god named Hiroaki Samura - [link]

Now, I really don't believe Kagehisa wanted to explain his beliefs considering kenshi, samurai or the difference between katana and other weapons. The guy just wanted to show-off! ^___^
