{Honest} Maleficent is probably one of the most honest and truthful does you can possibly know. If you ask her about something she has no problem telling you exactly what she thinks, and how the facts are. She doesn’t like lying and in turn doesn’t like being lied to. If she makes a mistake she’ll admit her wrong.

{Smart} Although young, Maleficent is pretty smart for her age. She observes and works out problems in a matter of seconds, despite sometimes overthinking and getting things wrong.

{Loyal} No matter how much her herd mates may dislike her for her personality, she’ll always stand by them till her last breath. Her herd, means everything to her as do her friends and family. If they would to be harmed she would stand up and fight for them. Maybe even get a little revenge in there if she can.

{Calm} Much to many fawnlings surprise, Maleficent is a relatively calm doe. Even in the toughest of situations, she seems to know how to keep her cool, and composure when others in her predicament may panic. However, one would be wise not to underestimate her calmness. As many people know, there's always a calm before the storm. When she does lose her cool, she can be quite relentless, and violent in her revenge.

{Determined} Maleficent is a never gives up on anything she sets her heart and mind on. If she fails she'll try again and again to get whatever it is right, even when she’s already pushing her boundaries. They way she looks at it is “if there’s a will there’s a way”.

{Vain} Despite her good traits, Maleficent is very much full of herself, believing that just because she is a doe of dark coloring, and physical as well as magical talents, that give it automatically gives her the authority to as she pleases. Even if it means getting a someone else hurt just for her own personal gain. It isn’t uncommon to see her flirting, and tricking two stags into fighting over her for the honor breeding with her, only to have her change her mind, and leave them both in the dirt.

{Possessive} In short, if she considers something is hers regardless of the subject or object of interest, she tends to get overly jealous if she sees someone else in possession of what she deems as hers. She has no problems fighting other does, just to get back at them for “taking” something that isn’t theirs to take. This often pushes stags away, once they have realized this.

{Impulsive} Surprisingly she is quite the sarcastic doe weather she’s just joking or being serious. If you tease her she won’t care. But tease any of the cats she cherishes and you can be sure she’ll be shooting off one of her witty come backs or sarcastic remarks.

If you turn your back on her or do something to wrong her, her friends, her family, or her herd in general, she’ll never forgive you. Or let you forget. Appearance: Wolfish black doe, with ragged scars on her left shoulder from an old attack from a wolf when she was on her rights of passage, as well as a bite mark on her throat from the same wolf. Firey topaz eyes are the most defining feature this doe has. Her eyes match her twins, which is the only physical feature that they share.

Maleficent was born only seconds after her twin sister, Giza-Kifo, to a blackwood couple. At birth is was very much apparent to their parents that she would find struggles Giza-Kifo wouldn’t have to worry about. She was only slightly smaller than her sister, and took longer to figure out how to get up and use her legs. Their parents rejoiced when she was finally able to keep up on her own. With how rare they knew fillies were in the herd, let alone twin fillies, they were worried that their youngest wouldn’t survive. Luckily, they were able to provide her with the extra care, and food she needed, and slowly she became stronger.

Almost instantaneously, she formed a strong bond to her slightly older sister, often shadowing her whenever the small family were on the move. Being smaller and weaker, Mal would sometimes get tired quickly though luckily her sister never seemed to leave her behind. It wasn’t uncommon to see the striped filly standing by protectively while her sister rested for a few moments before heading back off again. Their mother too would never be so far from her precious fawns, while their father stood guard over all of them.

As the years went by, the bond between the two sisters grew stronger every passing day. Their bond was unbreakable. What one sister lacked the other more than made up for. Their weaknesses became the others strengths. Whereas Giza had strength of power, Mal was quick, easily evading possible harm by predators, or other fawnlings should she need to. When she would falter, Giza would be quick to protect her, often taking most of the damage, while Mal would use her agility to trip up their foe to give Giza the advantage.

When it came to their relationships with their parents, Mal was always closer to her mother than her father, though she loved him just as much. It wasn’t long before the smart filly realized that their parents seemed to prefer one twin over the other. While Mal enjoyed learning hexes and curses from her mother, as well as herbs, Giza loved learning necromancy from their rather stern father. At times Mal would join in on Giza’s lessons, despite often getting bored quickly. This was something their father always disapproved of, however would never belittle her about. He was more than happy to focus on teaching his eldest daughter what her knew. Giza however, rarely ever sat in on their lessons with their mother. Something her mother greatly disliked, and would happily give a flick for, whenever her eldest daughter dozed off. Mal would try to keep her awake, but never seemed to be successful in once she was in the zone of practicing her skills.

At the age of 5, when the twins set out to make their first kills, Mal was scared she wouldn’t return. She felt lost and uneasy about being apart from her sister for the first time in all of her life. However, she soon realized how silly her fears were when she successfully hunted down a young, strong wolf. The wolf had put up quite the tough battle, leaving a few good scars as a badge of honor on her shoulder, and throat. It had tried to cut off her airway, but her quick thinking, and reaction over powered the canine when she used her weight to crush the wolf under her. Her killing blow was to kick the wolf’s head with her sharp hoofs. Luckily for her, she had just enough force to kill it.

Over time the two became quite, the duo which both of their parents were highly proud of. It was evident to them, that their daughters made a great pair, and hoped that neither would part ways from the other.
