Hello my pretties. Does anyone remember this picture of Axel here ?2005. My, feels like centuries ago, doesn't it? I certainly feel like an old maid...
Well, I decided to see and show that over the past 5 years I have indeed improved my work. A lot of things have changed, I do believe, ranging from my tools (no more OpenCanvas) to my personal tastes and style (I have indeed finally managed to draw hair that doesn't look like a helmet with stuff hanging off) Oh and I've learned how to do proper and somewhat interesting backgrounds.
Buuuut, nevertheless, I opted to not do rain again. The storm's over. Bit of sunshine's much more interesting, n'est pas?

Και είχες δίκιο γιατί, όπως έχω ξαναπεί έχεις βελτιωθεί αρκετά έως πολύ απο εκείνη την εικόνα. Αλλά και εκείνη συνεχίζει να μου αρέσει τόσο ώστε να την θεωρώ <<ξεχωριστή>> απο αυτή εδώ.
Αυτό που μου αρέσει καλύτερα είναι το πρόσωπο του και η ενέργεια, ξόρκι η ότι άλλο είναι γύρω απο το χέρι του.
Καλό και τον σάνσαϊν αν και μοιάζει σαν να έχει μόλις τελειώσει η βροχή γιατί η βροχή έχει καταντήσει κλισέ πλέον.

Τώρα κοντά έτυχε και είδα την Νέα Σελήνη. Αμ είναι δυνατόν είναι ακόμα πιο φλώρικο απο το Λυκόφως. Αλλά οφείλω να παρατηρήσω δυο πράγματα
1] Ο Τζέϊκομπ τουλάχιστον φαίνεται πιο άντρας απο τον βαμπιρέλλο
2] Τώρα είδα απο την σωστή προοπτική το θέμα της Μαίρη-Σού που έλεγες για την Μπέλλα. Όχι γιατί είναι τόσο τέλεια αλλά γιατί δεν κάνει τίποτα στην ουσία στην ιστορία! Δεν έχει καμία δύναμη ούτε κάνει κάτι στην ουσία η ίδια για να την προχωρήσει. Μόνο αντιδράει σε ότι κάνουν οι άλλοι. Και όλοι, μα όλοι οι υπόλοιποι την ερωτεύονται, συμπαθούν, θέλουν και πάει λέγοντας.
Και οι φίλοι της απο το σχολείο τι λόγο ύπαρξης έχουν;
Και τι ήτανε πάλι αυτή η μαλακία με τον Έντουαρντ να βγαίνει σε φάση όραμα και να την ζαλίζει [και εμάς μαζί] κάθε τρείς και λίγο;

I agree with everyone here. This is picture came out better than I could of anticipated. I personally don't think the anatomy has changed much with Axel, but I really think your use of colors, background, and shading is significant. It's a very beautiful plenty of dark and light and very mood setting for Axel. (Like how the background reflects on his dark powers in his hand)
It's very wonderful, Axel looks fucking badass, and your work has become even more amazing. ^_^ Fantastic job.

I know, I would have refined the bg more if I had found some tutorials to help me figure out how to draw things like the ivy and give the sketch of the ruin a better texture DX

The shape of the structures, the ivy's placement how it's climbing the structure, that's all sound. It lies more in a bit of detailing I think. A few bricks/stones in the walls here and there; some parts in the plant-life where you see the shape of leaves more clearly defined; as you did with the cracks in the ruin, that sort of thing really ^^

Knock yourself out, do as you please with him. XD Short of putting him in a red dress, he'll tolerate most things. He's well-behaved and house trained. XD If he gives you any trouble whatsoever, just shake something at him. It's usually enough to cool him off. XD
