Un Coeur Hiver (A Heart in Winter) is from the Winter Collection 2013 (available through 1.12.14). As this piece came together with its dagger bead ice and glimmering heart, I thought of purity, innocence, and the gentleness that can be winter. When a dusting of snow makes the landscape appear velvety soft.

I always loved light up necklaces, but let's face it, most of them are pretty cheezy looking. I wanted to create another dimension in my sculptural jewelry and adding light was a fun way to do it! I want these to be stunning whether lit or unlit. And I didn't want them to look like you got them at the carnival.

These are created with a durable 2 part clay, not polymer clay. Un Coeur Hiver features a beautiful piece of smoky quartz and some moonstone beads. The tiny LED light will glow happily for over 100,000 hours. Each battery produces a healthy glow for over 12 hours, so you'll light up the night for a long time!
