I've been on a movie frenzy this week because 1)I've got all my dvds back and 2) I've been mostly watching films that contain fantasy with monster sized puppets. So, Where the Wild Things Are happened to be one of the many films that I've been watching and out of random I drew Max.
The little boy who played him was perfection and so adorable. He had just the right qualities that Max had in the original book. Plus, it was actually kind of wonderful to get a background story of Max's life. I teared up in a couple of scenes at the beginning every time Max was trying to get his mom or his sister to play with him or when he started crying.
Does anybody else find it uncanny that the boy who played Max is also named Max?!

Anyway, here's Max for you in his wolf costume.
