Trying a new style, based on the influence of a mangwa illustrator who drew 'Magical JXR' Kagome's face is weird, I know...that's something for me to work on for another drawing and her hair too purple...funny cause on my "art laptop" her hair looked blue but on this one purple. Meh, whatever.
This is the first time I used Painter! I used it to create the background and it's an awesome program! It only took me, like, 45 mins to make those trees and leaves using the oil brush. Here's a close-up of it: [link]
Inuyasha and Kagome were colored in good ol' Photoshop CS4.

The picture is lovely! Inuyasha looks so comfortable in that tree(and with a 'Why did you just wake me up' look that makes me laughXD), and Kagome looks so peaceful with the butterfly. Beautiful short story as well! It was definitely great to read some of your writing^^ You definitely should write more when you have time!
The only thing I might say is off in the picture, is Kagome's facial structure and hand. The hand looks a bit oversized and her face a bit too sharp. Everything else looks excellent! Especially Inuyasha in your style

Yeah they're continuing the series which I'm very happy about cause like you said, the ending to the anime was fail. Then again, the ending in the manga was lame too...this is one of those times I wouldn't mind if the anime didn't match the manga. lol
And yes, you're right that her face is a little off. I had issues with the angle for some reason and it came out stiff. Ah well, live and learn! heehee

do you outline your drawing in pen before coloring it on photoshop?

I sketch it in pencil first, then outline it in Manga Studio, and then I bring it into Photoshop and mask it so I can color behind the lineart.^_^
