Description
One foggy night, a Northern Express diesel engine was hauling a train of weapons, ammunition, and medical supplies for the upcoming battle that was to happen at DoubleCross. Due to a switch failure, the track had been switched from the mainline to the branchline, but the driver hadn't realize this. The branchline was old, rusty, overgrown and hadn't been used for a long time. The train trundled along the rusty tracks as they creaked and screeched under the weight of the engine and it's load. Along the stretch of line stood an old wooden trestle bridge that stood forebodingly above a dark chasm. The train was halfway across the bridge, when a loud whistle echoed from all around. Through the mist from the otherside of the bridge appeared another engine, however, this was a steam engine. The driver was most confused, as all steam locomotives were withdrawn and scrapped by now. The engine appeared to be almost translucent and whispy as the mist danced around it's frames and wheels. It began to move closer to the diesel engine, steam erupting from it's funnel, whistling fit to burst, and wheeshing steam from it's cylinders. The deep chuffing sounds were deafening as they bounced off the chasm walls, and just when it was buffer to buffer with the diesel, it vanished. All was silent... The engine had gone...
