This is so amazing! I love the wings and the tail..aah! She is very beautiful, and in such a regal pose (hence the title, I assume).
Would it be alright if I tried sculpting her? It's very inspiring, at least to me.

Well, to be honest, I think she'd look better without the elbow and backward-knee fluff, but I might be wrong. Though I would suggest changing the shape or position if you do want to keep it. If you want I could try drawing an example for you but by all means, it's your character, and your opinion is the only one that truly matters.
But yeah they just seem unnecessary to me. I could elaborate more if you want. Sorry if I'm sounding pushy or whatever. Maybe it's cause I just woke up but I'm trying to help xD

Ooooh just look at that face! <3
Will you do the rest of the body with the same technique when you'll have the time?

Wow, the face is so regal, and the shading and texture work on it look absolutely award winning. Also dat smirk! Several choices are kind of interesting to me though, not that they are right or wrong. (Inc critique, plz don't run away.) The tufts of hair on the elbow/knee seem a little bit tacked on behind them, instead of covering both sides, which while not necessarily a choice you would make, I feel it would add to the realism if they came over a bit to show their connection to the body. Your texture-work on the face is absolutely amazing, so it's surprising you didn't add more of it to the body besides hinting at it, as I really like the way the face looks. The base of the tail is also hidden behind some fluff, but I feel like it comes in a little bit low to connect instead of starting to curl up to meet the spine, though the wings also hide the true thickness. The wings are also connected slightly closer to the shoulder than I imagined, not that it's wrong to have them there. The outer part of the wing that wraps around looks a bit rushed, and could benefit a lot from a little more attention, as does the outer part of the tail. Perhaps you could define a feather or two separating the edge of the wrap around? Or have the tail curling up a bit to allow more detail, and to fill the space provided a little better. It might also give a little more movement to the piece. I would also personally like to see the mane going longer for longer, but that's just me.
Sorry if I'm critical. I reaaaaaallly like seeing you put out more art though! And this is so amazing! I was going to ask for another commission or art trade or something, but I didn't know if you were dying under schoolwork or on fire or something. All in all this piece really shows your development as an artist to something absolutely stunning, and you should be amazingly proud of what you can accomplish. I've been trying to draw just the past few days and I'm really disheartened by how terrible all my work is, and end up scraping them before they get anywhere. Please keep it up!
~Always a big fan!

LONG COMMENT IS LOOONGGGG. First and foremost, I should point out that this isn't quite a finished piece It was like, 1 in the morning and I have been working on this bit by bit for weeks and it just got to a point of "ARG screw this." Admittedly, this feeling was gone by the time I got up this morning and left with a more puzzled "this really wasn't ready to be uploaded *facepalm*". BUT I DIGRESS, let's make the best of my impatience and make use of critiques So thanks for taking the time to write this large comment, I do appreciate the help.
NOW I AM GOING TO TRY AND ADDRESS EACH THING IN ORDER. PREPARE FOR THIS TO NOT MAKE MUCH SENSE, BECAUSE ONCE AGAIN SUDDENLY IT IS 1 IN THE MORNING. SORRY IN ADVANCE
Face: Yep, I am going to try and render the rest of the body like that. god help me Hopefully knowing that others like the effect will make me less likely to flip a table in the process!
Elbow tufts: Are actually feathers. Sierra no longer has any fur, just feathers I couldn't justify having fur feathers and scales on the one critter, too much for the little biologist in me to handle. I figure that feathers have evolved from scales and are all made of keratin so that makes some degree more sense then fur. THEN AGAIN THAT COULD BE COMPLETELY STUPID TRYING TO MAKE A MYTHOLOGICAL CREATURE COMPLETELY LOGICAL?? I THINK I will erase what I have done and have them all originating above the elbow joint(s)in a more obviously feathery fashion.
Tail: Yeah, that is pretty bad the way that I did that hahaha I'll fix that
Wings: I just can't seem to get these damn things right on this picture. I am aware that they are positioned badly right now, I'm thinking of not only moving the joint down (or changing the angle to more horizontal) but also pulling the wing away from the body and defining the wing elbow (?) better. And yes, it is crappy and undefined but I think I've already covered why that's the case.
Pose: It's for a reference, I'm keeping it simple. I'd like the length of her tail to be clear.
No no, critical is fine as long as it's constructive (which this was) I probably should have said that when I posted it that it was still a WIP, but all of your suggestions are appreciated anyway. making me be a less crappy and lazy artist, how dare you!?
As for me being on fire, that is probably an apt description of how my life has been (been sooo sick and working all the time) but as of today (well, I guess yesterday now OHOHOHO) I have finished the full time component of my 'job' (was work experience actually) and uni doesn't start back for a while yet so WOW I ACTUALLY MIGHT GET SOME FREE TIME??
Thanks for your continued support in me as an artist, despite all the crap I keep putting up here and the sporadicness (apparently not a word) of my replies and well, just everything Just know that I always really appreciate your comments!
And don't get disheartened!!! Even if you don't think it's good, put it up on here! It's good to have your art together so you can see and acknowledge your own improvement It's important to be persistent with your art because you learn the most valuable lessons from your mistakes! Plus, it probably isn't bad at all!!! And other people (like me) might like to see what you've been creating!!!
Goodness only knows what I have written but screw proofreading, I need sleep.

I don't think she was trying extremely hard to make this perfect xp Judging from the description "I'll just leave this here". Plus you have to keep in mind her art style and it's her character + her design choices.
