I cant tell you all how VERY proud of this piece I am. This took a few hours to complete, and I really had to get used to using colored pencils again and making the overall affect look really smooth. This is going to be the cover of a childrens book that I've written about a little blue whale with his little blue tail. Its a very short story so it would be a fairly small book, but I really want to use it to try to focus my art back in the direction of traditional media. Namely colored pencils. A medium I used to be KNOWN for.
Its time to get back to roots and get back to basics. Here's hoping this will do it.
