Representing an expendable
body
I block out the street
but for the image
of your droplet-wrought figure
wrapped in paper
that won't retreat
invincible
soaked
and remembering
imagining
as a walk begins
I am drawn in curtains
stalked by the folds
that hide you
This rain,
I forgot
To shut the window.
