Ran for an ArtTrade with TBRde90ste
Long overdue art-trade, colored with copic markers only (plus some stamps in the background)
I drew a pic of cyrelle somewhen in between the waiting-time for this, but now here's finally the pic of Ran
This is my part of our trade in exchange for the awesome drawing of my OC Fiore, which I got:
I know that there are some other overdue Art-Trades waiting, but I'm working on it! I swear!

Ran: Come on Rico, you know that I hate to fake on girls. Especially on Cyrelle. She likes me for being honest and trustworthy. Not for the fact that I can change my colors.

I have waited so long for this...and it was worth of it.
Even I knew I made Ran all grey on purpose, I really like how handsome you made him.
Even when clothed, I still see how muscular he is and all his attributes are still there (belt around his chest, white shirt underneath). I also love his annoyed look, as if he has a conversation with his colleagues (as I described above) about the purpose of changing their appearance. xD
Thanks to his lack of colors, I like how the did the background. It is still impressive that you manage to find a matching theme for this grey man that looks good.
Even though it has nothing to do with the picture, but I love this collection of art of you did for my characters. I look at them a lot when I am creating my stories, on paper or when brainstorming in my head.
They are so nice looking and it bring my characters more alive than just on paper.

I'm really, really sorry it took me so long, but when it comes to male characters (I know I limited myself because I said I was going to draw him xD) I just lack the basic ideas and rarely ever just sketch something male that looks "perfect for that character" without planning... xD
Also I think it's so cool that it inspired you to write that small dialogue. It really comes to life with some interaction behind it

Nah, I was the one that suggested Ran as the part of the Art-Trade. But you still did an awesome job at it.
I will try my best do more pictures of him, since I am in the Project R mood, and to hope to make him more appealing with hopefully more colour? ^_^
I am happy that you like this little dialogue. I am not sure if people find it annoying though, but this really helps me to make them more alive. I hope you won't cringe that much, since I know it is not usual for people to do that...

I think we'll definitely trade sometime again, so maybe I'll find time and motivation for another picture of him. Maybe even together with Cyrelle since I also drew Kevin and Hiyomi together xD

Ich bin ja echt nicht so geübt im Zeichnen von Männern, aber wenn ich's mir schon als Neujahrsvorsatz für 2019 gesetzt habe, muss es einfach sein. Umso mehr freu ich mich, dass ich so langsam Dinge wie Posen und Gesichtsausdrücke ansprechend hinbekomme

Aktuell habe ich noch zu viele Art-Trades auf meiner Liste (einen davon seit über 9 Monaten. Ich fühle mich echt schlecht und schuldig, darum nehme ich erstmal keine neuen mehr an, bis ich nicht alle bisherigen fertig habe!)
btw. der Name ist nicht wirklich sein "Name", wie der, der im Personalausweis steht. Eigentlich ist er ein Klon mit einer Seriennummer (CN251-RAN) und damit es nach einem Namen klingt, hat er es abgekürzt. Hat nichts mit dem japanischen, weiblichen Vornamen "Ran" zu tun, sondern ist in dem Fall eine Abkürzung für Roderick Aran Nicolai ^_^
