The depth is thanks to my lens
Don't know what I would do without it!

what sort of lens do you have?

For this picture (and macro shots) I use a Tamron 70-300mm lens. It's been designed for macro use cause it has an extra focal button for extreme zoom ^.^
Otherwise I use my standard 18-55mm that came with my camera.

well that sounds nifty. :]
my dad has a macro lens that i liked to use for portraits and such but i recently finally got a 18-55mm standard lens that's meant for portraits. i love it

It is an awesome lens
When I tried portraits once, I used my standard lens, but I had my camera on the macro setting. That seemed to work really nicely.
Didn't you get a lens with your camera? I thought most came with the 18-55mm anyway >_>
I have a couple of lenses that my dad gave me too, along with his F70 film camera. My DSLR is a Nikon too so I can use those ones with it also, which is great. There's an 18-28mm which I'm using for landscapes till I can get myself a proper wide-angle lens.

I know that this picture is over a year old now, but I was browsing your gallery this morning and this one just caught my eye. It's a gorgeous shot. One of my favorite subjects to photograph are my own flowers, but I always find it hard to make them look visually interesting. Here you did that well, either through the contrast or the angle, and you made the picture look very delicate and refined. Wonderful work overall. I really like it!

Oh wow thank you!
Yes, I love bluebells, and I'm glad I made it interesting enough ^.^
I heaped the contrast on in post editing hehe. Plus I was sitting on the floor for the angle, so perhaps it is a combination of the two
Thank you for the lovely comment Ribbons

Hey, you're very welcome! Contrast always seems to help with pictures like these, it brings out the bright flowery colors. Some day in the future I ought to try the high contrast thing...

Aww. Hope you didn't make a concotion and take them all at once xD Wouldn't be a good thing.
If your thraot is like mine, gargle salt water, then dissolve an asprin and gargle that. Really works...though make sure you eat before the asprin one...
