And to be quite frank, you make me sick.And I can’t do it. I can’t do it anymore.
Sit and sift through their lives.
Preening and polished.
And I think I hate them.
Or maybe it’s myself I hate.
The lack of supposed importance.
The lack of substantial proof. I was there, I was happy.
And sometimes we are alive even when we are dead.
Tidbits of time caught on film.
Faces trapped in photographs.
Something. I was someone.

Hi there! I've chosen you as the 49th person for my 200 Comments Project Challenge. Basically I'm giving comments to 200 different people in a time frame within a week
This is wonderfully written as you do speak the honest truth right here, and I agree with every word in this poem. I've had a Facebook account since 2008. The first few things I enjoyed it and I used to be addicted to the website as such. But for the past couple of years I've grown completely bored of it. Hardly anyone talks to me on there and all I see most of the time is pointless fighting. Hell, my distant relatives are hypocrites as they gladly talk to themselves and they don't bother chatting to me - that's one of the reasons why I erased them completely.

I agree completely. I hate Facebook too, mostly because it's such a huge source of cyberbullying, and the Facebook admins basically don't care and do absolutely nothing to stop the bullying (in fact, Goddess forbid you report cyberbullying and your facebook account isn't using your real name. They'll ban you instead of the person doing the bullying! I know that from experience when I reported cyberbullying against an 11 year old boy who had already tried to commit suicide because of bullying. The admins didn't ban the bullies or delete the posts, but they did ban me for not using my real name on my account.)
Anyway, sorry for that rant. But yeah, I hate Facebook too.

Facebook is nothing more than a showcase for lies.
People mostly act different than they normally are at the internet, but on facebook it's for sure!
I got sick of all the behaviors like "Hey look at me and my WONDERFUL, PERFECT life!!! But nobody must see the truth behind it! The corpses I have buried..."
This is why I hated it and will always hate it.
I hope it crashes someday.
But people will search for another platform for their lies.
This is why I hate the common behavior of people XD

I had to step away from that. Each and every time I would log on with a positive mood and then log off irritated and furious. And the only ones I would watch or interact with were my family. Knowing the truth and seeing the side they presented to the world was enough to turn my stomach.

I know the feeling. On one hand, I'm trying to incorporate this "new age" or zen-like ideology that it doesn't matter who others see us as, and we are always whole, and we are not our past etc. ...and on the other hand, here I am jobless, with very few actual friends, single, and nothing to "show" for the life that is behind me. Every update is just a reminder of that. People getting new and better jobs, going on vacations... ultimately it all loses its' appeal when I remember that their classification of "lives" are no more real than the pixels that formulate pictures of them on my screen.
It takes speculation to form pictures out of the pixels, as the pixels alone are not a full picture...
Just as it takes speculation to formulate that their lives are any more important just because they have enough "pixels" (fragments of a full life) to formulate a full picture (a full life).
Don't let their imagery get you down. It's all an illusion right from the core.
