I think you are getting that vibe because this is based on the evil barber movie, also by Tim Burton.

But yes, you are completely right, Burton's style is quite distinctive. Shame that the latest collaboration with this director and the same actor didn't turn out that well as previously mentioned movies. I myself was disappointed.

But photo is far from disappointing, and that's something pleasing. ^^
