Description
This is my entry for ~kankakanka and `PearlEden 's fantasy elemental design contest - a fiery cheetah-inspired creature.Anyway, it's just a quick throw-together in Photoshop. Since the contest's deadline is Aug 1, and I'll be on vacation when it comes, I had to finish this quickly in order to submit it before I leave. In other words...no harsh criticism and such, please. I know it's rough and unrefined.
I did work pretty hard on the fire, though, so that's one thing about it that I'm proud of. 
Technical: a sketch that was inked with Micron and Staedtler pens, using a light-tracing table; colored in Photoshop with a LaPazz Graphic Tablet.

Hmm, maybe a little bit. I've never seen or even heard of that character, though, so I can honestly say this wasn't inspired by it at all.

I like two things about this image (besides it being a cheetah). The way you did the eyes, give the character an edge, making him/her look fierce. Also love the style you did the fire in. With the tail on fire, it reminds me of an old Native America tail, about how coyote stole fire for the people, carrying it away on his tail.

Pardon me a moment while I put on my sunglasses so my eyes aren't burned by the fiery awesomeness.
Looks cool - excellent job on the fire; 'tis pretty. ^^ And I like the colours you used on the fur; pretty tawny colours. The blue eyes draw you in to its face, since they're the only cool colour on the pic...nice touch.
