this is in a contrast to my first piece titled hands of the artist in that rather than portraying the hands that create the art, this is to portray the hands created by the artist.done with pens and pencils

Damn, that's cool! ^_^ It reminds me a little of M. C. Escher's work. I like how you juxtaposed the pencil-shaded one with the lineart. The pencil version shows the three-dimensionality of the piece, while the solid black-and-white one makes it easier to see the pattern.
