[ S T O R Y ]first and only child in a middle class family, kenta was a shy and quiet boy since he was little. he had lived for the majority of his life in miyagi, along with his childhood best friend. though, he moved to tokyo starting high school once his parents got a divorce, since they both thought that he would be better studying on nekoma high, and his mother had a job opportunity there.
surprisingly, the whole divorce thing didn't leave him sad, since they explained to him that they just weren't for each other, but remained friends. the thing that bothered him and hurt him was leaving his best friend behind. luckily, as soon as he has free time, and on holidays, he stays with his father in miyagi and spends most of the time in his best friend's house.
he was delighted when he found out about nekoma's volleyball club, since it was his favorite sport thanks to his dad. both of them were avid fans of the sport, and played it for hours on end. his dad was even in a volleyball club when he was in high school, too, so he helped him practice when he had no one to play with. that changed too, when he met his best friend.

ever since he was a child, he's kept a childish glint in his eyes, capable of frustrating calm people due to his naive nature. he's the type of person to believe every word you say if he either looks up to you or you say something with enough confidence. it takes some time for him to get a full grip on situations, and most of the time important points in conversations can fly over his head. sometimes he's made inappropiate comments at wrong times for being incapable of reading the atmosphere; he needs a little patience, he really tries to get along with everyone and make them have a good time. something that sometimes people don't believe is his stubborness. no matter how much he has to do something or no matter how many times he'll have to repeat something, he will do it. he won't give up easily.

- cooking! his dad owns a bakery, and he's been surrounded by recipes and new flavors his whole life. he's more into making whole meals than sweets, though

- anything disney related. he has a lot of plushies of disney characters. his favorite movie is tangled!
- winnie the pooh! it's been his favorite character since he was a baby. he even has a onesie of him.
- kpop and kdramas. he's more into girl groups, too. he thinks the dances are very cute. he's also a sucker for romance shows.
- kiiroitori! he has old stuff from when he was a child and used them for preschool, he doesn't have the heart to get rid of them. he has a lot of stationery items with his design, too
- his little hedgehog! he'd give his life for the little dude
- big dogs! he loves those big fluffy boys. he would've liked to have one, but his dad is allergic and his mother's house doesn't allow big pets
- memes. it's not that he doesn't like them, per se, he just,, doesn't get them. what the hell is a loss? he doesn't know. he feels like he's missing out on a joke everyone finds hilarious and it makes him sad
- too much attention at once. ever since he was little and used to hide his dad's legs, he hasn't been able to control the blush that he gets whenever he starts being the center of attention. whether it was on a school play, or someone waiting for him to speak, he starts stuttering and having trouble to get the words out without stumbling over them
- s w e a r i n g!! no cussing in his presence, he will scold you like they taught him. he's a mama's boy and she didn't raise no bad mouthed child
- his teeth. his frontal teeth are kinda longer, like a bunny's. children in his class used to laugh at them till he cried, so he struggled in pics and never showed open mouthed smiles. even if his parents reassure him, he still can't be comfortable showing them
- small dogs. he's hella scared of them. how can they be so tiny but so angry at the same time? he prefers to stay away from them, he doesn't wanna get his fingers chomped off because he pissed off a chihuahua
other:
- he has a little hedgehog named ren! whenever he switches homes, he takes everything with him, he can't leave him behind. he also seems to enjoy trips and being out of his cage for a while, so he doesn't feel as bad when moving him
- he's really bad at english,, his accent is really thick and tends to slur the words together. if he has to speak it aloud in class, he'll slowly start to lower his voice so you can't hear him
- he used to be a little short baby. he was one of the shortest in his class. everything changed with his growth spurt though
- he's a strong boy, he can carry a lot of weight for a while! he usually carries around friends on his back when they're tired
- he gets flustered quite easily, and his face stays red for a long time even after he stopped feeling embarrassed
- he doesn't have the best arm/leg coordination, specially when running, but he'll be damned if a girl group song starts playing and he doesn't dance along to it
- he has a big collection of onesies. he always uses one as a costume for halloween
- he's very adamant about eating healthy and well balanced meals. if he finds out one of his classmates/friends has bad eating habits, he'll make sure to make extra food for them the next day, trying to make sure that it tastes good for the person while keeping it nutritious
- he's been playing volleyball his whole life, but he started taking it seriously when he started high school and joined the volleyball club
- he has a lot of moles!!
- his hair is actually a lighter color. he dyes it black, though. he likes how it looks
- even if he tries to comb his hair, after a while of running or playing/jumping, ¡t gets all disheveled and he's unable to get it down
- he's pretty dense in romantic relationships. unless someone tells him directly they like him, all the subtle flirting or heart eyes someone may be doing, it'll fly over his head. don't crush on him, he probably won't notice lol
