Unlike the rest of her team, Nera came from a good home with loving parents. Her mother and father, though not married, were always loving and kind to their rambunctious little girl. Nera was a bit of a problem child and got into fights with other kids often. Things eventually got worse when her mother Mena became pregnant when Nera was twelve. She became highly jealous and more troublesome then before. After a few years, and many incidents where Nera and her parents fought and she even tried to ditch her baby sister, Nera met Sterling. She was intrigued by the fiery young girls powers and personality and asked if she'd join her in Atlas and be part of her future team. Nera accepted and her parents were convinced to let her leave so she could learn restraint and to protect their second daughter from her own big sister. Nera might be hot-headed, but remains loyal to Sterling and goes along with her plans, as long as it means she gets to fight, she's cool with anything.
