Earning points really isn't that hard. Your adopts are quite cute. All you have to do is remember to put them into a ton of groups. 5 minimum.
And getting an icon can't hurt. Having a cute icon will encourage people to click on it and look at your adopts.

well I only want an icon if its my own really and I can't afford to get someone to make me one, and I am trying to go to lots of groups and such, buut so far I haven't gotten a single offer

I know a lot of people who take icon requests, though I'm not sure if their requests are open..
And also you have to put the adopts in yourself. You can't just wait for them to be invited.

Well there's way more icons then I could ever link you to. But there's tons of free-to-use icons all over dA so you can use one of those while you earn points.

But that's what adopt groups are for. So you can show your adopts to people! It may seem like advertizement but the people that see it kinda.. like, signed up to see people's adopts. Does that make sense?

I know it's time consuming but you really need to have each thing in at least 5 groups. 10 groups is suggested, 20 groups is really good, 30 will certainly get you some buyers and 40 will get your adopts sold out. Or at least, something like that. XD
