A Biblical principle that holds true throughout my life. As Christians, to truly "live" we must "die" (figuratively). Even people that aren't Christians experience this truth. Parents find great joy in sacrificing their own interests so that their children can thrive. Personally, I experience this truth in the most intense ways when it comes to hardship in life. When I'm hurting and down is when I find that Jesus is holding me up. God's strength empowers me when I have no strength left of my own. When we are at our lowest point is when God has the most room to work miracles and to recreate the life that we messed up. This is God's resurrection power, working in my daily life, raising me up. And He will literally "raise us up at the last day."

Jesus said that a seed must fall to the ground and die in order for it to produce life (a new plant). He also said that to find true life we must loose our lives. I think that means that we put our own interests aside, instead we chase after God's interests...and then we find that way was better anyways. The process hurts. But it is worth it.
