It looks so peaceful with this evening light. Good shot. Very good. Β

Thank you. Not all too many choices for composition because unless I want houses in the picture (which I obviously didn't), there were very limited chances to get what I wanted into the picture and leave unwanted stuff out. This might look like an open space but there are actually houses on both sides very close, just barely could keep them out of the picture.

Yes, nobody needs ugly humans or houses in their way of beautiful nature I can't agree more.

This is actually quite a pet peeve of mine. I see so many breathtakingly beautiful landscape photos on here and then there is like some microscopic tiny little house or boat in one corner somewhere and it ruins the whole photo for me because I just wish the human element weren't there. I have nothing against houses as such, if they are somehow beautifully fitted to the landscape and not one random unnecessary eyesore somewhere.

Same works for me and landscape paintings. I wrote my thesis about landscape art and noticed, that there were always humans in the front. I never understood why. I can guess, but if I did a landscape painting, I'd erase all human existence.

I never actually realized that, but I'm no expert on landscapes in any way. Perhaps normal people prefer to see people everywhere instead of just appreciating the landscape?

I love the empty blue in the middle; it makes it seem like the tree is reaching out to the orange clouds above. What can i say, i'm a sucker for silhouettes and pretty clouds : P

Thank you. I thought the empty space was interesting, kind of divides the whole thing into two or three parts, depending on how you want to see it. Darkness on the ground, light and colours up in the sky - and the empty nothing in-between.

You're welcome. And thank you, it was a beautiful sight to behold and it's nice to know that some of it comes across in the photo.
