I started this sketch dump of sorts two Wednesdays ago and I just finished it, so why not upload it now?!

Anyway I love the Subnautica game, or any kind of underwater environment in games and movies etc, but I've had my eyes on the Subnautica game for I think the pass two years or so and I think that it's super cool! Scary...but still cool
So you can probably imagine that I was overjoyed when I saw that Duncan started playing the game, and after the nineteenth episode I knew that I had to draw some fanart... and here it is! One of the quickest artworks I've done

Shall I give you guys a run through of what you guys are looking at? Okay, I will start from top left and go through them in up and down rows, does that make sense? Hopefully you'll understand as I describe them:

First up is the Sea Treader. Duncan hasn't seen one of these yet in his series but I wanted to draw it so yeah. Anyway, this is one of my top favourite creatures in the game because of one video by Oompaville, that's why the Sea Treader is singing that random sentence, it's a reference to that one vid when Papa Oompise started singing as a Sea Treader.
Go look up that video, you won't regret it

Secondly, I saw Duncan go after the same fish in two different episodes, wanting to eat it. You can't eat a Rabbit Ray, Duncan! Stop trying!

Thirdly, that fabulous hair! For people who don't know this about me, I haven't been able to watch anything from the Yogscast for a few months because of a certain subject. But then after a long while, a video from Duncan popped into my sub box (it was "Factorio - Ghost Poop".) and that's when I saw Duncan's new long hair. When I first saw it, I was like "Where did all that come from?!"
It's so fabulous and I just had to draw it in all its glory, and myself marvelling it from afar...

Fourth along, a little environment scene of Duncan scanning a Peeper and myself as a mermaid observing curiously along with a Boomerang fish. You know, I've been looking for a good excuse to draw myself as a mermaid for years, so Duncan gave me a good reason to do it. Thanks Duncan!
I wanted to draw my tail with a similar look to my wings and I think I did a pretty good job. That should be apart of my wing headcanon, no matter what environment I'm in, my creative magic transforms to my needs

Fifth down, Duncan trying to figure out what he needs to do next. To write what's on the PDA, I had to teach myself to write backwards...that was no easy task but I did it! For people who can't make it out, it says "How to Subnautica 101".

Sixth in the top right, Duncan having a encounter with a terrifying Reaper Leviathan. Those things are scary af, during the eleventh episode I was jumpscared like all heck when it attacked Duncan three times in the span of the first three minutes of that video, like geez Reaper take a chill pill or something!
Along with drawing the Sea Treader, the Reaper was just as difficult. But I like drawing fantasy animals so I think I did pretty well on the Reaper Leviathan

Last but not least, my favourite creature and telepathic happening in the game... the Sea Emperor! The Sea Emperor is the best creature in the game by far, and how its intertwined into the Subnautica storyline is cool as heck!
During episode nineteen of Duncan's let's play, Duncan actually got contacted by the Emperor and I don't think I ever fangirled so hard in my life I swear. His reaction was super cute and I had to draw it, that's what pretty much lead me to do this art dump in the first place!
I wanted to recreate the telepathic moment so I studied it and tried to make it work. I shadowed in an outline of the Sea Emperor with bright glowing cyan eyes behind Duncan with the text; "What are you?". I also tried to recreate the green and blue glow that surrounds the screen when you are contacted by the Emperor by making it swoop and swirl around Duncan as he gasps out in surprise.
Plus I came up with the idea that when the screen clouds into your vision as you see the Emperor's shadow, I thought that your eyes should reflect what your seeing in your mind. So I made Duncan's eyes glow green to further cast the illusion that he is being talked to telepathically.
I think that it turned out great don't you?

And so, that's it! Woo! That was pretty fun to draw all those things, though that wetsuit was nearly the death of me... oh well, it shows off a little more of Duncan's good side lol
I think my favourite part of this picture was drawing the Sea Emperor telepathic thing, I would love to draw that again only bigger and better, so if you guys would like to see that then let me know! I really want to do it but not for nothing guys! Please let me know if you want to see that!
Plus I really hope that Duncan continues this gameplay series, it's not often that he does a solo series and it's sort of a breath of fresh air, you know. Plus who ever does the subtitles needs a medal or something cause it's just comedy gold

Anyway that's all for now, I have a lot of things to work on and my sleep to catch up on as it's just been the worse for the pass few nights, it's been just horrible
