Photo, editing, model, digital and water colour painting: Me.
Deeper self study in layer masks.
Includes digital painting for clouds/background, watercolour painting for the checker tiles, planets, photo manip for sign, crow and me.
Lot's of time spent using lightroom...

might be an odd detail to notice, but I really like how the white chequered fields are lowered!

I really like the feel of this, with the dark colors and the grittiness, but the platforms lead my eyes backwards, across the sign to...nothing, which I must admit was a little disappointing. It would have been cool if you had done something way back there, such as make good on the "no swimming sign" and have an empty pool way back there (unless the "no swimming" is supposed to be related to the platform area.) Just a thought, though. Your flow from blacks to whites are also very nice. Haha, I could totally see this as the cover of some sort of novel, with the authors name in a giant font up at the top, and the book title at the bottom. All "John Johnsonmyer, "At the Edge of Sanity" or something.

I tried putting numerous things in that space but everything I tried (smimming pool, planets, holes...) failed. They all added way too much to the image. I like how it provokes people to add onto it.

Haha, I didn't mean disappointing as in "man, this piece is soooo disappointing, they could have done sooooo much better" I meant it as in "Maaaaan, I was following with my eyes and there was nothing there. I WANT SOMETHING THERE AND I WANT IT THERE NOW!" disappointing, if you get my drift. (Assuming you misunderstood me...if not, sorry!)
And if it didn't work out, it didn't work out, and I'm glad you didn't force it, then. Haha, and you only like how it provokes people to add onto it because you are a /jerk face/. (I only kid, of course.)
