Origin is still a power word. You see have a created a parallel world where we can see into the tree.

I just had another look. I'm a bit psychotic so I see things that aren't superficially there but are there if that could make sense. There is, however, there is a definite sense of movement in strong helical forms along the top quarter of your piece and it's positioned nicely so as to add to the overall composition giving it an energy and vibrancy to compliment the stillness below. I speak to you as an abstract painter.

Classifications of work are often helpful but can never fully encompass any one work of art or any one artist's approach. I find my work slipping and sliding across between abstraction surrealism and realism. It's annoying sometimes that I have classify work with recognisable figures as abstract because there seems nowhere else to go. Β Principles of abstract form, however, can apply all approaches since the purpose of abstraction is Β to distill pure form from the objects and subjects it is initially composed. I really enjoy artists who have the the gift to achieve work which seems to function at different levels. I mean it as a sincere compliment that I can see this ability in your work.

The title seems perfectly fitting to me! I wish I could say something useful like constructive criticism, but it's perfect, I have no criticism.
