Some images transcend their original locations.

This image could be just up the road from my home.

I do too! The texture adds something without taking away details.

Thanks again....My brother is one of my biggest critics, and he feels it looks dirty!

Message to your brother: You're entitled to your opinion, but, sorry, you're wrong. It doesn't look dirty. The texture gives it a painterly feel, and a moodiness. It looks like an impressionist painting, or perhaps a painting by one of the tonalists. This painterly feel is -exactly- what I like about Elizabeth's work.

Thanks for your comment! My brother's comment is mainly one my father raises the whole time..... Unfortunately I come out of a family of photographers,Startng with my Grandmother, that developed her own pictures in the 1920-30's in her bathroom, with equipment she orderd by rail from Cape town.I will never be of the standard they are,and can only try....Have a look at my brother's nature stuff,he's Brinkdj, then you might understand the critique....Although,I think i have developed my own style, and it's one I like....

He's done some beautiful work. I'm not a photographer, but IMHO your work is at least the equal of his.
