Ah! I've been neglecting my dA =[Oh well, so here's some more Pern fan fiction ;D
This lil cutie is a blue firelizard.
He's not based on anything atm, 'cause none of my characters have a blue Fl, but he probs will be if I do get one x]
I'm strangely proud of that tail x] and the wings ;]
Done with pastels in an art lesson couple of months ago when I had no work left 'cause I'd got of my arse and done it already x] and cleaned up in photoshop

If your recent club submissions are anything to go by, I'd say you do quite a bit of Pern art. XD

No, they're just really long, or "advanced" RP posts *shrugs*

Those tend to be very story-like, in my experience. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course, but it can be a little tiring to read when you weren't expecting a post that lengthy.

Yup. Though I admit to writing a couple of them (sort of) I can never do more than two in a thread. My posts get progressively shorter in a thread until they just seem to stop...

It rarely happens with me... I think this is mostly due to where my background in RPing comes from. I'm completely used to doing real-time RPs, where the story moves significantly faster by virtue of the fact that the one you are RPing with is right there as you do it. XD A three-line pose was about right, in my eyes. Five was starting to get a little long. Certainly nothing ever got to the point that it does in forum RPs.

Well, I've never done it like that. I started on a forum site with a minimum word count of 150 words, so I got into the habit early. Now (no offence meant ;]) I get annoyed when posting with people who do 1 paragraph posts because I feel that I have nothing to work with. There's just so little that the other character does that I can make my character react to :s
Plus, I live in a different time zone to most of the people I RP with, so there's always at least a few hours between posts, usually days.

Yeah, the time difference is the only thing that stopped me from starting that shorter type of RP. But I agree that it's just as valid as the forum type. I only started with the forum type anyway because a friend of mine recommended it to me and I got hooked from here xD

Yeah, it's unfortunate that the time difference is such a barrier. It doesn't make things impossible, but it does certainly limit the time you can spend RPing with people and even, to some extent, who you can RP with. Forums do a good job of taking that barrier away.
Well, I used to do a great deal of RPing in a few Pern-themed worlds, but that was most of 3-5 years ago, when I first started RPing. Most of my RPs anymore just involve dragons. XD

Well, I don't do much structured RP - meaning I really don't RP on forums, and I don't RP in places like the one I used to use for my real-time RPing. More often than not I do my RPing through instant messenger, anymore... I don't really know of any sites that are built around RPing with dragons.

Hmm, now that I think about it, I did get a lot of dragon RPing in on an MMO called Istaria that features playable dragon characters. I wouldn't really consider an MMO to be a conventional RP medium though. XD But as for forums dedicated to dragon RP, no, I have never found any. Haven't really looked, to be honest.

I did once, but I was new to RP then, and I haven't really looked since. most of the dragon related RPs are baed either on Pern or the Inhreitance series, so far as I know. I've read a lot of other dragon related books that would have made good RPs xD

Yeah, and those don't quite count as dragon RPs so much as RPs of that particular book series. XD The closest I've come forum-wise was a forum for the Age of Fire books by E. E. Knight, since those books are from the perspective of dragon characters anyways. There isn't much RPing there, but what little there is is almost completely dragons. XD

I read a really god book called the Adamantine Palace by Steaphen Deas recently. It was mostly about royalty and such with dragon steeds, but it edged around a mind connection ;D maybe in the seaquel (which I'm convinced there must be soon)

Well, reading just the back of the book, I'd agree with you. That seems to happen a lot, though, so while I'm disappointed by the way the summary makes the book seem, I'm not overly surprised. XD
I've never heard of that book. What do you mean by a mind connection? Is it anything like the ones in Pern?
