Everyone commented on how cute Whisp was, and I just had to show you that's she not.She is an assassin and very good at her job.
I really wanted to get the mood with this one and am exceptionally pleased with the result, which, for me, is odd. I didn't want a full moon or a crescent..seemed overdone, and then I was playing Zelda and saw the 3/4 moon and then it was decided.
Took me three days, I haven't a clue how many hours..I did it at work. Done in OC. I just started uploading event files, so if you wanna check it, go here [link] I'm emeraldmoon on the portalgraphics site.
Please, C&C would be most appreciated as I'm pretty sure I'm finished, but someone can always point something out I didn't see. *glaces suspiciously at Jidar*

The contrast in this piece is wonderful! The pose is wonderful, I really like how her hair and her weapons seem to glitter in the moonlight but her her entire body is in shadow except for parts of her feet! It might help that she's wearing all black as well The way that you added the highlights and the shadows to her form work really well. The subtle shades make for a really captivating composition. Her facial expression is great! It stands out wonderfully and has that creepy psychotic look that assassins tend to carry from time to time! I love the hair and the forshortening of the swords! It came out beautifully! The background is simple yet complex and the moon is gorgous! Beautiful piece!

I don't do critiques anymore :\ Last time someone asked to have their picture critiqued, they got mad at my critiques and hate me now o_@ But I'll tell you that I didn't see anything when I first looked at it ^_^ Most critiques I could even try to make come from when I stare at pictures, but this one doesn't look bad at all! In fact, if you resized it a little, it'd make a gorgeous wallpaper for a computer

Really striking, not only because of the strong contrasts, but all that simply because of the character's presence, and of the composition. I really like her pose, the way she's holding her blades the almost-chiseled hair flowing in the wind, and the delicate outlines of light on the wood pillars (sorry, wrong word, I know...) in the foreground. The whole picture has something very creepy and dangerous, and the moon behind her silhouette is so huge it accentuates a certain feeling of eeriness too. In a way, her eyes and mouth, given that she's back against the light, wouldn't be supposed to shine they way they do, but it doesn't matter at all, because it fits the mood perfectly well, and the absence of this light, in fact, would on the contrary lessen its impact. Only thing I'm hesitant about is the shading on the hidden part of the moon, I'm wondering if it shouldn't be closer to the color of the sky? Anyways, it's much more a question of personal color preference rather than style.
As a conclusion: GREAT pic!
