Hahahahaa. Hm..Someone PLEASE answer my little question here? Does this count as illustration anyway?? 
I hope someone can answer that to confirm what is on my mind. Thanks!He does look a bit..stiff here... *sighs* And those rods...are weird.. >__< ;; I mean to draw two katana-s (japanese long swords) for him..yet...wearing this western-like costume doesn't fit. The color is dull too...and worse when i scanned... >__<;; Oh man..poor him...Being ruined by me... -__-
**Done using color pencils and 0.5mm gel pen (for the lines, buttons on his clothes and also the rods).

So, THIS is the story used in the fanficiton called "The Butterfly" Hiskoa has a nice wardrobe here. I like it!

Yeah, the author decided to use this picture as the illustration for the story. I am glad you like it. 
I have no idea what happens to the author as I am not very close to her/him. For some reasons, she/he just disappears.. just as how she/he suddenly appeared to ask for my permission.
P/S: I miss Yami no Matsuei.. Only wish it won't stopped, but oh well... it's already stopped. >.>

P.S. Neko Kate-chan discontinued her fic and made a rude comment about my friends' fic on her LJ, saying she felt as though she was being plaigerized, but my friend didn't. The only similaritis is one thing: Hisoka being a harem boy. In my opinion, she shouldn't have dont that, cause she forgot that fic fifteen months ago. Why should she care as to who makes something similar? (sorry about the off-topic rambling, but one more thing). If people were so sensitive about taking characters or stuff, then fanfiction wouldn't even exist. And if fanfiction didn't exist, then most of us writers' talents woulda gone to waste.

I think I'm about two chapters away from the one where Hisoka wears your costume... Er... It's going to get lots of blood and sweat on it. It'll get ripped to shreds and... it's a really violent nasty scene (it wasn't originally...) I'm seriously going to have to write the whole scene while looking at the picture...

Pretty clothes and wearable clothes are two entirely different things. Look at half of Chii (Chobits) wardrobe. You certainly wouldn't walk round town like that...

I may need a little help for the Berserker one. The Edea one will be the hardest I've ever done. I'll probably get someone else to make her headress... I wanted to make them myself, because then when someone says 'Your costume's awesome' I can feel proud about it ^^
Oh, um, how would you say the back of this outfit looks like? Can I make something up for the back? I had the idea of having a Butterfly silhouette in front of a moon (for obvious symbolism in the story) and a dragon weaving around the moon like a snake. But If you already had an idea of how the back should look then tell me.

Sure, that's fine! I'm going to write that scene next, so I can talk things through and make some changes. I don't want to accidently offend you by this scene, so it's probably best if you read the un-beta'd version before I put it into the final draft.
Ad for the Berserker, it'll be worth the proud feeling that I'll get when people look at my work and say 'Wow! that's great!' So yeah, it's worth it. Also, it feels great to dress up, it's like becoming a different person...

hmmm... illustration.. well it means to make and example or to make something clear.. but many also know it as art or a picture, so in one way it may or may not count as an illustration unless youre trying to make something clear byt his picure but in another way it would be since it is considered art and a picture i hoped it answered your question if not.. then im sorry ^-^;;; and btw... its soooo prettyfuls!!!!!!! i want to steal it and hug it and do lots of things with it!! ( not in a sick way though o.o )

the colouring and lineart are really good on this, particularly on his face and the clothing. The only thing I could suggest is to make his left arm (our right) a bit longer because it looks shorter than his right, but other than that its very good.
