Oh, where to start? July 19th one year ago? No, it began earlier than that.

I met Alex on her birthday where we became friends so fast it was like being five years old all over again… except there was more art involved. She abducted me into DeviantArt, a place that confused me before, but was exciting all the same. At the same time, Alex introduced me to this one group called “Wyngro”.

Not only did I have a platform to share the art that had been collecting dust in my file explorer for years, but there was a creative group that made the little girl in me drool.

Personalized cartoons for designing AND an endless possibility in stories? It was almost too good to be true.

If you had told me joining Wyngro would change my life, I probably would have looked at you funny and started hyperventilating at the thought of my life being upturned.

Wyngro was the gateway into a world I never knew existed.

My art improved leaps and bounds.

I gained amazing friends.

These memories will be precious and close to my heart for the rest of my life.

Age 17 was the fastest and most rapidly growing year of my life. I might even call it the best year of my life so far. Aside from a few emotional breakdowns due to writing commitments that had begun to run me dry, it was an amazing experience. I COULD actually say that those breakdowns were what made me be serious with what I wanted in life, but that’s a different topic.

Today, I am in several ARPG groups, most of which I still try to be active in. I have a tablet. I have good drawing software (and training myself in a new, more advanced program). And I have a reservoir of information and skill of drawing, painting, and design.

Wyngro was the catalyst for most of this and it’s truly a milestone to reach 1000 wyns. It’s a marker in what I’ve accomplished thanks to the group and the friends I’ve made.

I’m sorry for being long-winded BUT I’M JUST SUPER GRATEFUL.

Will I count wyns after this? I think I will, as annoying as math can be and having to fish out the last thing I drew.
