PERSONALITY:
Josie is a quirky little vaporeon. She has become a bit shy since her time in Pokette, and doesn't approach strangers with friendly conversation as often as she used to. She does however tend to mutter to herself a lot and is more than happy to open up when people approach her. She becomes friendly and really bubbly around people she is familiar with and on occasion can still be seen being a total ditz. While she has managed to retain most of her childlike tendencies she has become more serious when it comes to her work. So when she's on the job she tries her best to be vigilant and focused.
HISTORY:
Josie grew up in a large family. She was the youngest of 7 children and was often spoiled. While her brothers grew up becoming successful in a variety of fields, Josie never really excelled at anything. She did well enough in school but was hardly a genius and after graduating from college never really found a calling. She continued living with her parents until she turned 26. By then her parents had had enough of their daughter and tried to help her "spread her wings" by kicking her out of the house. Coming home to a locked door, some suitcases and a ticket with a note explaining her exile from home, Josie threw a fit. After seemingly hours of not getting her way Josie eventually gave up and decided to go to Pokette Town like her parents suggested.
Josie actually had a wonderful time while residing in Pokette Town. She made a lot of friends and even began dating a grumpy charming gentleman. After a few months of living there though, she seemed to disappear without a trace. The most likely cause seemed to be an argument with her boyfriend at the time. Regardless of what drove her away from Pokette, the facts are that she ended up in Sunnyshore City. There she found a job working as a life guard during the summer and would fish to supplement her income during the colder months. While the work suited her and she was able to make a decent living she couldn't help feeling empty inside. She lived quietly occasionally visiting her old home in Pastoria City to learn about how her parents and brothers were doing. She was hardly the happy bubbly vaporeon she was in Pokette Town, in fact she slowly seemed to become more and more isolated from the outside world only leaving home to work or shop for necessities.
One day, while cleaning up her apartment, Josie stumbled upon the old worn out brochure that her parents gave her for Pokette Town. The old brochure brought back fond memories and caused Josie to realize that Pokette was the last place where she really felt at home. Feeling nostalgic, and eager to get out of her rut, Josie packed her bags and began making plans to return to Pokette Town. Suitcases and the old flier in hand Josie eventually found her way to the train station, and with her head filled with hope and dreams of happier times, she boarded the train eager to see what Pokette Town had become after her years away.
EXTRAS:
- Josie doesn't always drink beer, but when she does, she usually gets banned from whatever bar she's in.
- Giving Josie caffeine goes over about as well as giving her alcohol.
- Dumping Josie in water tends to sober her up since melting into the water flushes out her system.
- Josie's move set consists of:
- Water Gun
- Acid Armor
- Baby-Doll Eyes
- Fake Tears.
- Josie tends to use Water Gun when she's startled (though it never does much damage even when it is super effective).
- Josie likes to make dolls of the people she knows. She never has confirmed or denied whether she uses them for Voodoo.
- Josie's fins vibrate almost immediately before it begins to rain.
- Josie has about as many nieces and nephews as she has brothers and enjoys visiting with them from time to time.
- Josie loves wandering around in the rain and will often find any excuse to go outside when there is a storm.
- Josie will unconsciously melt into the water while swimming often making her impossible to spot in water. She also likes popping out of the water and greeting people when they get close to the waters edge. She's no longer allowed in certain retirement homes.
