this is a entry i did for the february 2011 madman fanzone competition. [link]

unfortunately, i didn't win. there sure were a lot of one piece school entries and mine was definitely nowhere near as good as the others. i'm sad that i couldn't even get an honorable mention though. it's even sadder, cause the honorable mention prize was the first collection of honey and clover, and i really wanted that too! haha, oh irony.

anyway, hope you can all enjoy it anyway! i did have fun planning and painting this and i really love the concept! (haha, what's this? is the fanfic part of my brain churning into action??)

luffy is the cheerful meat-eating class clown who's obsessed with pirates. people tell him the straw hat isn't cool, but he carries it around anyway!

zoro is the class bully. he carries around a wooden sword and beats people up. he gets in trouble for his bandanna, his earrings and his unnatural hair colour.

sanji is the playboy. you guessed it! he would get in trouble for smoking, but he's clearly still in junior high and underage, so he's sticking with the lollipop. for now.

usopp's the kid who hasn't grown out of spitballs, paper planes, slingshots and looking up girls' skirts.

chopper is the class pet class prez. he has trouble keeping the bunch under control, but everyone shuts up and listens when he snaps and turns into a giant reindeer.

nami's the typical kogal ie. typical fashionable trendy Japanese girl who likes phone accessories and baggy socks.

robin was going to be the super cool class rep (with glasses!), but i really wanted her to be a yanki delinquent, so that's what she is! XD

i didn't have enough space or time to draw franky and brook. but in case anyone's wondering, franky is the flashy foreign transfer student. he wears his loud hawaiian shirt with pride, but the shy japanese let him get away with it 'cause they think he's american. (and that he has a nose job.) brook is the only relatively normal student in the class. he's the musical and obedient good student.
