Tuscan Challenge - 3 Day Eventing

Day 6 - XC Phase

She was alive.
Hard to believe after quite the week she had endured here in Tuscany, that the Cross Country field would be merciful to the Italian. Despite emptying her guts -quite literally- all morning before leaving her room, scoring the best time seemed like a fever dream, absolutely fake; maybe her weight loss had one good impact after all if it helped Rep this much. In the meantime Al was also quite glad that Ryan did not pass out from the stress she put him under for this last phase; and hopefully he would be able to rest easy by the end of the day as Alexa had planned to finally tell Lyo. Not much choice as the event would be completed in the following day. Eitherway, Al’s mind went elsewhere and her worries were chased as she was prompted to go and receive the ribbon from this phase.
Of course Lyo had been too close for comfort on the scoresheet, and Alexa did not miss to offer him a warm but polite smile as a congratulations for his second place as they both got decorated by ribbons.

Lyo was beaming just as much as he didn't expect Suarez to be quite this successful after his long break. Grinning around on the podium he felt like this was a perfect finish to his Italian stay (boy was he wrong about this being the highlight). Once the congratulations were said and they all walked off, obviously the two Leos were in no hurry to get the ribbons off and it promptly became a clothing accessorie. But something felt unfinished. He owed Alexa a kissie for the one he received at the Olympics and when she passed him by he grabbed her arm to playfully pull her close "i think you forgot another prize Alexa" he grinned wondering if she could guess.

Alexa surely looked a bit shocked from the sudden pull, not only she did not expect it, but also even less considering the dynamic change that had happened between herself and Lyo. So being so suddenly dragged against the Captain took her off guard for an instant, not that she fought any of it, it sure felt great to enjoy this proximity again. “ Did I?” Asked the Siren with a bit of a confused look. “ I’m quite certain everything else is meant to be given tomorrow” after all, that’s why there was a closing ceremony. She’d know, as she planned most of it. But his grin made Alexa raise a brow, what was that all about.

„I owe you a congratulations-kiss i believe..if you would like to receive it. Since you gave me such a lovely one for the Olympics placement in the very same discipline“ he kept grinning and was overall radiating happiness

At first she looked at him with confused eyes before giggling as she made the connection between the two events, a bit of blush getting to her face as well “ Well…” started Alexa as if she was thinking, but still put her hand on his arms to keep him close “ That’s a prize I obviously cannot refuse.” She smiled softly at the Pirate, how cute was that. It was refreshing to see him this happy and tried to mirror his energy as much as she could despite her obvious tiredness.

“Congratulations for your absolutely insane finish-time” he almost took a bit of a formal position before her before holding her closer for a joyful kiss on her lips, very much intending to pull her with him to this happy and celebrating mindset.

Alexa happily kissed him back, adoring how much joy the pirate was radiating and couldn't help but be influenced by his happiness “I had this Olympic gold medalist chasing me, it was a great motivator ” she purred, as she stroked his jawline with one hand, a soft smile on her lips.

Lyo grinned at her, ultra flattered, Leo getting his ego stroked definitely drizzled some extra good vibes onto the mood. “Your horse was just a little faster this time around -what a great pon she is!” he diddd admire the moody spotty lady.

Al couldn’t help but imagine that her weight loss could have been one of the factors that made her mount able to go this fast, but she prefered not say anything about that, simply accepted the compliments on her horse. “ She is a dream to ride.” She smiled some more, “ But i’m sure you’ll give me a ride for my money next time we compete against each others”

“I can not let you get too comfy on top you know?” he made a face like she knew he is in fact not comfy to be topped in other areas in life as well LOL He stroke her arm and diddd feel she might be thinner than usual but he also knew she didnt feel well lately, so it seemed to ask was only going to ruin her mood.

Alexa totally caught the meaning of that face and a grin painted her lips, she crossed her arms behind his neck and didn’t miss the opportunity to answer with all her cheekiness “ Not something you usually have to worry with me Bello~ ” before continuing as her eyes focused on the band that held the ribbon “ For now -If anything- this shade of blue suits you”

Lyo was smiling so widely his cheeks hurt LOL “thank you, you could also easily make it as part of your outfits” just casually flexing.

“ I’m afraid that wearing it daily could come off as a bit vain.” she said with a giggle, but oh how her ego would love it. Alexa eventually unhooked her hands from behind him, resting them on his arms instead, trying to find the right words to ask without sending him in a panic. “ On another note,” started the Italian, trying to appear as collected as ever, “ Can I catch you later, for a talk...?” god she hoped it would not be taken as a we need to talk and ruin his current joy.

“Don’t you always come off as a bit vain anyways?” he raised a brow with a skewed smirk, was she so unaware? PFF. The proposal to talk, did have him frown a tiny bit, but he tried to keep an optimistic view about it, maybe it was something personal but not BAD? “Sureee..when?”

His comment about how she came off had Alexa pout a bit as she pushed him in a playful way, how dare. WELL MAYBE SHE DID; But only appeared this way to jealous people obviously, Al' was sure. Anyway, his small frown had her bite her cheek slightly, but the rest of Lyo’s reaction did not trigger more from her. “ In a couple of hours?” She looked at her phone to make sure of what time it was after all those emotions, “ I’d like to go check on Republic and shower first.” Maybe it could calm her nerves a bit

“Sure, i’ll come to your room then?” he smiled softly, having a very gentle nature, as he did detect the slight change in her confidence and hoped he would not pressure her to any mood. He really hoped it was good news, maybe a more frank talk about whatever had burdened her the last weeks, more clarity about a potential illness?

“ Sounds good to me.” the Siren smiled back at him, a little relieved if anything that this went smoothly at least and did not seem to impact his mood. She broke the embrace, but took a second to replace Lyo’s ribbon correctly, to finish with a little tap on his chest and a simple smile “ I’ll see you later then, Bello.”
